BTB? DA? GF? DLC? FF? CIV? WHATS DO ALL THESE MEAN? I have no idea what people are saying. CTR? UV? Still no idea. I can't figure everything out, I just have to guess. If you actually took the thing to type it, I might buy what ever the heck you're selling
STOP WITH ALL THE ABBREVIATIONS
/shrug
If you don't understand what they mean, they aren't on your list of wanted items. Go cry somewhere else they probably don't want your business.
@Demonic,
He does have a point, because in reality, general businesses revenue require you to inherit an understandable jargon. However, on the other hand, this is just a video game so I'm guessing necessary economic-related jargon do not apply in such virtual communities.
(Lol I wonder if they realized this was a troll thread <_>) In reality I know what the abbreviations are that I posted, but It is quite annoying when someone recommends a weapon or ask me to buy a weapon and they use So many abbreviations, I have no Idea what they are saying. They expect me to magically know the abbreviations. Also If you consider August 5th 2011, a new member, yeah then Im new. Also the wiki crashes my internet
Op, whether troll or not, was talking about abbreviations being bad, period. And really, nobody in the business world says every companies full name. It's part of the game. And it gets tiring typing out divine avenger, barbarous thorn blade/shield, dark briar barrage, gran faust, final flourish, charge time reduction, attack speed increase, medium, very high, and various other time saving nicknames. Save time, save text spot, save yourself from being reported for filling/spamming chat box.
I think there is a thread of abbreviations, off the wiki and on the forums. The abbreviations should be looked up if unknown, and then noted for future reference. I don't see the point in this thread, since Garlicveggie somewhat hinted that this thread as a point to it.
you must be new to the game otherwise you would know. just play the game and talk to people and you will pick it up bro.
since you are buying things when people spell them out in long text.
I'm selling a Wolver Cap Elemental High Unique Variant for two thousand Crystal Energy.
Thanks.
(for future reference, this will be abbreviated WTS WC EH UV 2kce, thanks again)
Thanks XD
@OP: "Also the wiki crashes my internet"
Lolwut? A website shouldn't cause your computer to lose internet connection. If you mean your internet BROWSER crashes, then make sure you don't have tons of tabs/programs open and there's no reason this will happen.
I have a feeling you're just one of the many who are too lazy to look at the wiki. I've seen this many times before (in other games), and your case seems no different.
When ever I get on the wiki, it says terminate unresponsive program and it wont do anything until I exited out of the wiki
Clear your cache(I can't help you with this unless I know what your browser is.) or use FireFox, or something like that. There is really no reason for it to crash as it is just basic HTML. (As far as I can tell.)
Lol...
Go read up about this before I poke your eye out with a FF... not to mention the bonus it gets from my BTS.
You don't know what DLC means? Thats like, a basic term in gaming. Not even closely exclusive to Spiral Knights. o_O
Horseburgers for every one! I suggest taking the time to proof-read, in addition to learning the most common abbreviations. If we refer to something a lot, coining a shorter term saves more time than it takes to learn the new term. How much harder can it be to learn what "CE" means than to learn how the whole Energy system works in the first place? Also, you don't have to guess if you can't figure it out. As others have said, you can look it up elsewhere. You can also ask.
This is a bit tangential, but "JK" rubs me the wrong way- not because "Royal Jelly" is the correct term, but because the grammatical train wrecks that sometimes pass for posts around here can make it unclear whether some one is telling a joke or talking about RJP or its boss. Hmm...
eye wuts a gud place in SK tü spent wit my GF tonite! Liek JK!
Laziness FTW!
@Opening Post(OP)
I'd just ask around what they mean, you'll learn them eventually, plus it'll save you a load of time if you use them yourself. Try it out, still working great for me so far.

Wiki is your friend. I'd post the "You must be new here" meme, but I'm a tad bit too lazy for that. All online games develop abbreviations. If you care enough to play and enjoy the game, learn the abbreviations.
