I'm aspiring to be a bomber, after building a generalist loadout.
The current loadout for FSC I use is:
Wyvern Scale Helm (Clean)
Volcanic Demo Suit (Clean)
Barbarous Thorn Shield (Shadow: Low)
Winmillion (CTR: Low)
Freezing Vaporizer MK II (Clean)
The current equipment I'm planning to upgrade are:
Striker (ASI: Low & Gremlin: Low)
Sun Shards (Clean)
Freezing Vaporizer MK II (Clean)
Wyvern Scale Helm (Clean)
Spiral Demo Suit (Clean)
Where should I go?
Get another demo helm, either make it into a mad bomber or another volcanic. As a bomber, you have to get used to not having defence.
Now, there are loads of different bombers, but most people separate them into 2 kinds. Status and dps. Status bombers go for more haze bombs such as shiv, voltaic tempest, ash of agni, venom veiler, along with vortexes such as electron and graviton. They mostly use volcanic to obtain the ctr needed to drop as many haze bombs as possible. They have no need for damage, and thus can have defence or heart pendants in trinket slots.
Dps bombers are either full mad bomber, or mad/volc, or mad/bombastic. Full mad, with a damage trinket, gives you max damage and max ctr on all your bombs. They focus on dark briar barrage, radiant sun shard, nitro, and vortexes with a haze bomb for support, if they so desire. The other two hybrids are, in their own way, safer than mad bomber. Mad/volc + 2 damage trinkets gives you max ctr/damage. Mad/bomb + ctr and damage trinket should also give the same stats.
Yeah, I'm planning on going for Volcanic/Mad set, but what should I go for in the meantime, as the only 5* weapon I have is the Neutralizer?
Well, this depends. You could pick up a nightblade and farm rjp to upgrade your bomber gear, or start going pure bomber and just use rss/nitro/dbb as your damage bombs.
If you're primarily running FSC now, I'd say to focus on getting Shivermist, then a Mad Bomber helm, then RSS and bomb damage trinkets.
Dragon Scale is pretty crappy; you should have a full set of bomber gear. Piercing/elemental defense isn't as important as normal/elemental defense for a bomber.
