It would be great if there was unique icon for Deconstruction Zones - different that icon for Clockworks Tunnels.

While I admit I've gotten upset at myself for not checking to see if some Gear icons were in fact Deconstruction Zones, I've been wanting to see Deconstruction Zones have their own icon for quite some time. For one, they're special levels that are pretty different from others in the Clockworks. Deconstruction Zones are also mostly filled with Gremlins, so at the very least they shouldn't have Construct-colored icons.
The change is simple enough - just recolor the icon used for Wolver Dens, Devilish Drudgeries, and Lichenous Lairs to fit Gremlin-themed levels.
If anyone wants to go pointing out that Deconstruction Zones are also populated by Mecha Knights and therefore don't fit the Gremlin theme, first take into account the fact that Lichenous Lairs and Wolver Dens frequently include Lumbers and other non-theme monsters.

There are both Clockwork Tunnel: Alliteration Alley and Blast Furnace/Cooling Chamber/Power Complex/Waste Works: Alliteration Alley.
And all five share the same symbol as Deconstruction Zones.
I think Decon zones deserve a different symbol. (maybe a greyed out Gremlin icon?)

Personally, I'd like for the gear to be reserved for just the Clockworks Tunnels. In fact, all the area types should be differentiated by icon shape, like the concrete jungle, arena, candlestick keep and so on. That would also mean splitting up Wolver den, Lichenous Lair and Devilish Drudgery by shape.

Most other things that use the same icon have different colours based on monster. Lichenous lair is pink, wolver den are yellow and devilish drudgeries are purple.
However the clockwork tunnels are the biggest pain, they come in all colours, and the Decon Zone shares the same colour as one of them.
