Multiple keymap configs, and some extra mousebutton mapping

with the Multiple keymap configs i mean to create diffrent keymaps for diffrent classes you can switch during gameplay (fast switch would be even more awsome) and before you say "you have 3 slots" you can't bind a button more then ones that was is what i (hopefully others) would like to have.

so i can switch from sword master to gunslinger (i have a weird setup so this would actualy help haha)

and the mousebutton mapping i mean the MB 4/5

sorry if this was allready suggested or if it's just a stupid idea but i just wanted to trow it out there :)

Are you suggesting switch loadouts in the middle of fighting?

If so, no.

No, he means a sort of 'Keyboard config' loadout with hotkey-toggle so durring battle, when he switches weapons from swords -> guns, he can switch his keyboard config to his 'optimal performance' mode for that set.

i.e. Swordsmen use WASD config, gunners use Arrow Config.

He wants to make and toggle between the configs mid-battle when he uses a different weapon.

A possible fix: The keyboard setup has 3 different options; you can set one action to be played by three different keys.
As long as your 'other configs' don't involve keys that interfere with other configs, you can set them to your liking.

Example:

Swords
Up: W
Down: S
Left: A
Right: D
Attack: Left Click
Defend: Right Click

Gunner
Up: Up
Down: Down
Left: Left
Right: Right
Attack: Left click
Defend: Right click

That works, so mid battle all you need to do is use the 'other keys' that you set for the required actions.

What WON'T work is if you set weapon switch to 'Q', then set Attack in the other column of keys to 'Q', because the key will unmap itself from the first key.

Otherwise, -1 unfortunately. Too big a change for too small a group of players methinks.

That'd be hard...

WASD is the only way to go man...

Using arrow keys and a mouse is just too close together...unless you use a mouse with your left hand.

Idk

I use WASD, but sometimes use arrows while gunning, with the setup so I can turn while walking.

Otherwise WASD.

You can turn while walking when you use WASD?

That's kinda the point in the mouse lol.

Uh

You just set the keys so the 'Face [direction]' arrows aren't using the same keys as your movement, so you mouse has free unrestricted control of your facing direction.

Okay, that shouldn't have had a question mark at the end of it.

It was supposed to be "You can already turn while walking when you use WASD, thanks to the mouse".

So, why what who how difference does it make to use the arrow keys?

Yeah I'm pretty sure the

Yeah I'm pretty sure the "face direction" mapping (defalt set to the arrow keys) also makes you move in that direction, which is very odd. Something needs to be done about that.

Psychodestroyer got the idea

Psychodestroyer got the idea i was aiming at (sorry if the OP was a bit vague)

so not changing weapons during batlle but like psycho said change keys from swordmaster to gunslinger so you can use the same key for diffrent situations (and not having to change the whole config)

personaly this would be nice because i allways use a mix of swords and guns at the same time (sometimes a bomb to)

@Severage

I set my WASD keys to forward/back/left/right in relation to cursor direction. The arrow keys I mapped to North/south/east/west, so I have predetermined directional movement while able to use my mouse to pivot in any direction without affecting movement direction.

I usually use WASD for normal combat, but sometimes when I have to gun and find it hard to catch a break, I use the arrow keys.

Arrow keys versus WASD

As far as I can tell using the arrow keys moves you to the direction while facing your character that way while WASD just moves your position without turning your face. Personally, I use my mouse to look around and WASD to move. The original post seems to contain bastardized English vomited from Google Translate or something similar.

The following paragraphs are re-translations of the previous into Spanish and French, respectively.

From what I can say with the arrow keys to move in the direction while dealing with her character that way, while only WASD moves from its position without turning your face. Personally, I use the mouse to look around and WASD to move. The original post seems to contain bastard Google Translate English vomited or something similar.

As far as I can tell using the arrow keys you push to management while facing your character that way while WASD simply moves your position without turning your face. The arrow keys may be an alternative to click and drag movement for shenanigans. Then again I may also be hiding under your bed, gnawing on your childhood toys; especially the red ones.
