I can see that the event is only as long as 7 days. But some of us seem to have a need (or must) for an extension. Reason being that these certain players are obsessed with trying to collect 100 Cake Slices to collect the very preciously permanent Prismatic Frosted Helm.
I mean I can think of how bad it would be if someone collected 99 slices and the event ended while the player was on. All that effort wasted, and just because of that feeling, his mind will be negatively affected.
I didn't even ask for 3 months. I'm just requesting the extension, at minimum, for another week.
You see, a person has 100 mist. Considering he has crowns. he can buy sIots for 200 crowns and get Iets say 3 tokens at the minimum per run.
He gets 30 in a day but his mist is ruined. He can aIways pIay WOW or something.
So 30 in a day means over 100 in 4 days. Thats pretty much easy. AIso the presitge mission adds its fair share too.
So considering that, you were the onIy person to faII back. One can even BUY ce and go on runs.
WeII dont be hatin on me now, eIevator pass is usefuII in this case as i have one.
But i hardIy think OOO wouId extend the event as this is an anniversary event and chances are scarce.
On a side note, during the "Punkin" event, some pIayers asked for extensions the same way you did.. Did it happen?
Understandable. But this is something that should be considered about, because many of the players think they can only get these Cake Slices through missions, even though clearly stated by Biscotti that it can be done through gates. I know players like this.

Sadly, they aren't that kind. That's why I'm requesting for a week's extension. Just a week and no more. At least they could be half as happy collecting the Foiled Frosted Helm, and not so depressed.

For the 99 slices scenario; IIRC, the vendors will remain until the 23rd, meaning that the player may purchase any additional slices.
It can be argued on how silly pricy it is, but the option remains regardless.
At first, I was somewhat surprised at the short span of the event considering other promos and the fact that it's the anniversary. However, this event simply contains very...festive cosmetics (as well as a free daily pass to guaranteed tokens), and it was understandable why this event is not particularly as long.
Good point there. But I still think the extension would be very appreciated by the game's population.

I have been trying my best to find the cakes but have been having bad luck the last two days of only finding one level and using up all of my mist and some Crystal. I just would like just one more week, because the other events seemed to go on for at least two weeks and if not longer.
And who doesn't want to celebrate the one year anniversary of this fantastic game! with all the confetti and party hats! and not to mention killing the evil cupcakes!
I thought the last day was tomorrow. D: Doesn't affect me, but given how many people were sure it was tomorrow, I can better understand the argument for an extension.

Don't give up, you can still do it. I'm currently out of town so I only found out about the event recently; i got 89 cakes running T1 by myself in around 4 hours total. Was short on time, so i bought the last 11 from the vendor. You only need 35 though, so don't give up if you have some extra time.
I've kind of worried about this too (haven't reached 100 yet! >.<) But i noticed that there is a cake prestige mission tomorrow as well. So while the cake creeps may disappear in the Clockworks, i think you can still get slices.
i quit when I saw how many coins were needed cause I need money so I do JK runs so I don't care if they extend it I have 20 slices but I don't care I needed 8 more for the pumpkin one and never got them so oh well
I feel like an extension's not needed, and the fact that the best argument is "their mind will be negatively affected" is kind of lulzy too. It's an item - it's not a life-changing event. If someone places that much importance on getting an item, I feel like their mind's going to be negatively affected no matter what.
End the anniversary event as scheduled. It's a sham of an event anyway.
I agree, the weekend was much too busy to get all the cake slices I'd have liked as well.

Isnt the point of limited time items to be accquired by limited amount of people and make those items unique?
You know you dont have to get those hats, they dont give any special bonuses, its just the looks. If you really wanted them you should have worked harder for them and get them in time instead of asking for event last longer.
I must say, I would love to have an extension as well. Unlike many other players, I don't get to play very often or for very long. I've managed to collect a few slices, but I am not sure that I will be able to make the cutoff before the event ends tonight. I cannot think of a very good reason not to extend the event, since it would not affect players that already have the cake helm. Plus it would extend the time for the anniversary prize pack as well.
The anniversary prize pack isn't that impressive of a reason to keep the "celebration" going longer than it already has. However, a reason that it shouldn't be extended is that OOO gave everyone a week to acquire the cake tokens necessary to get whatever helmets they wanted - an ample amount of time by most considerations. Furthermore, you can assume there's going to be at least 80 mist spent per day by a player who actually wants these helmets, not factoring in elevator passes (leaving 20 mist to do whatever you'd like). The prestige mission grants 4 cake slices per completion for T3 prestige missions (I'm not sure if it differs based on clearance level - if so, it doesn't matter much since it only changes figures a bit). If you did the cake mission every day since the promo began, that's 28 slices, or over one quarter of the task already complete. After that, it's just random depth diving, and if you were dedicated to getting the helm, you could have kept redoing Depth 1 of the Emerald something Gate to get it since it's a Clockworks level, and gotten anywhere from 3-5 tokens off of each one.
With that in mind, if we're also assuming you only found a cake nest 50% of the time and got 3 slices per nest, you would have gotten at least 12 cake slices a day. Factor in the six days that have already passed, and had you only spent mist doing Clockwork levels, you should have 100 cake slices by now. All of these numbers are with odds being factored against you as well, meaning hypothetically speaking, if one were fortunate enough, they could have finished within the first 3 days or so. Additionally, if you were deadset on getting your tokens as well, you could have taken the crowns earned from playing those levels, bought 100 CE, and kept playing in order to get the cake helm that you wanted.
In closing, even if you only played off of mist for maybe an hour or so a day, you should've had the cake helm by now. If not, quite frankly, it's your loss and there's no real reason to keep the promo going because of a few people that were either too late or too lazy to get them while they had the opportunity to do so. You shouldn't expect an entire company to cater to the whims of a few people, and asking us to provide a reason why it shouldn't be done just kind of reflects that you don't grasp what you're actually requesting here.

You should already know that if you want something in this game you have to enter the energy market game.
You can get 3-5 Cake Slices per Cake Nest, which isn't a guaranteed thing it happens. Let us suppose that each time you go down Arcade you find a Nest and get 5 Slices, and then I will begin to input "possible problems" in this formula:
100 Slices needed / 5 Slices you get: 20 times you should go to Clockworks minimum. Which is 200 energy, which means 2 days at least. Let us say that you go on your own and have a 50/50 chance of getting Nest or not and still get 5 Slices: You double the energy required, and you get 400 energy spent on the event. If you just get 3 Slices each time, cost is increased by 1.5 if perfect, and another 1.25 due to another misses because you need to run more times: 600 energy, or 750 energy. Finally, you get the 4 Cake Slices 100% chance from daily prestige mission, which are 20 Cake Slices, so substract 50 energy from the 5 days the promo lasts:
So it means that you need 700 energy more or less if you solo. Of course, this doesn't take into account search parties, which is the common strategy... one person searchs for Cake Slices, and then calls their friends/guildmates. Cost is even minimized if the friend who searches is a p2p player and bought an Elevator Pass.
Conclusion: OOO indeed knows what they are doing, you just think they are doing it for you. By the way, for my Prismatic mask I spent 300 energy, because I compromised to make search parties for my guildmates/friend list, me being searcher half of the time.
I have 99 tokens. I am the justification...or not. I'll still squeeze in a few more levels tonight to finish it off.

I never got any of the halloween costumes but i did get this prismatec thing. Usually i hardly do care for events in games but the anniversary thing got me innerested. IT'S SK'S BDAY!! Collector's MUST! I just got lucky I got it is all.
mm...I had 98 earlier and I was likely not to be able to get on again tonight. Eurydice sent a reminder through twitter that only one day remains and for confirmation, I asked what about the mission tomorrow, she said she couldn't guarantee anything. Luckily, my circumstances changed so I was able to finish this, good luck to anyone else who needs it, you at least have until sometime in the morning tomorrow.
Oh and I wasted like 400-500 energy on this because I started late...but hey not like I'm doing anything else here...
It wasn't hard to figure out what the cake pile patterns were in the dungeons and what kind of dungeons they appear in, however I do believe that you only get the cake pile once in that certain dungeon and after you clear that cake pile and that dungeon and try to redo that dungeon, chances are you won't find that cake pile again. I would personally prefer a extension of 3 days rather than a week but we all know that won't happen.
Word of advice to some knights that are cake hunting, always look in the dungeons marked with a gear. Try to avoid dungeons that are used for missions. And I suppose avoid trying to go over the same dungeons that had the cake pile you cleared already.
You can always imagine some hypothetical player with 99 slices. Extend the event by 3 months and there could still be someone with 99 slices just as the event ends.
