Anyone remember that game from Whirled, ya know Underwhirled Drift? Remember how It had 3 charactors: Devilites, Soul Jelly and Pit Brutes? I do. Spiral Knights already has Devilites (as a main enemy in the Fiend Family), and Soul Jelly (as a rare monster in the Slime Family). I suggest Spiral Knights adds the character that they forgot, the Pit Brute. If it ever is implemented, I suggest it be a rare form of Lumbers or a new monster in the Fiend Family.

If Implemented as a new monster in the Fiend Family

On levels with a fiend theme, it should have a good chance of being inside a mineral when you go to break it. Like Normally when you hit mineral, they break. There should be a chance that It doesn't break and a Pit Brute spawns.

Pit Brute Attacks
Fiendish Earthquake- It causes the camera to shake and blur your vision for a few seconds, if you are too close to where it made the earthquake, it will deal damage to you.

Stomp- it should charge at you and stomp on you, causing damage.

Swallow- It should try to pick you up and try to swallow you to satisfy its bottomless stomach. If it is successful at swallowing you, you go into its stomach and take damage and then it spits you out.

But the place it spawns seems odd. I mean Imagine that you're dying and you come across here, then this son of a snipe pops up.

Then the nerfs will come....

And, Devilites if in the vincity, should attack it as they possibly fear it(?)

O_O Blue,

Hyprocritical.

Anyway, these seem good. The fact that it would be a trojan of sorts or it could be a BEAST!

Toss on more rocks, and just

Toss on more rocks, and just give it a very small chance to spawn from a crystal being broken, much like how Rock Jellies can spawn from stone blocks.

+1 This is quite nice.

I don't like the idea of it spawning from a mineral though, it would just look odd. I'd rather have it as a normal rare enemy appearing in the place of a lumber.

Pit Brute

There should also be a level with a lot of Pit Brutes. It should be like a Massive Mineral Mine, it should have Devilites and Gremlins working to extract minerals. There should be a much higher chance of Finding Pit Brutes on these levels

What are the likes

What are the likes of gremlins and devilites working together? Gremlins are weak to shadow so they won't get along.

@Sentinel-Zx

The missions show that Gremlins and Devilites have forged something of an alliance, at least towards the Knights.

Damage and weaknesses have nothing to do with a diplomatic alliance.

AND!?

Seerus used DRs for possible assults on CO and Grems.

I feel that Devilites sponsor Grem work. Like Football and Playstation!

Ehh. + 0.5

Exempting the fact that there's a risk it'll become another Slag Guard/Trojan/Vanaduke/Tortodrone hybrid, it is a pretty interesting suggestion to make; and I'd actually like to see how it performs in game.

I'm particularly fond of the Earthquake attack; I think the shaking camera will make for some very interesting gameplay.

Not too sure about the Swallow attack though - immobility just drives Knights insane; and this just takes it to a whole new level.

Might I suggest a new attack to ensure that this fiend is considerably mobile?

Leap Pound
The Pit Brute prepares to leap into the air just like a regular zombie, but a warning zone of about 3 squares in diameter appears as it smashes down, dealing damage and stunning anything within the warning zone.

This allows the Pit Brute to jump up to 6 squares away.

One small detail.... will it damage other mosnters like trojans orat least cause stun like lumbers?

If so it could be interesting to aggro them on purpose and 'bombard' enemies with that attack.
