Any way to increase size of HUD or in-game text?

Is there a guaranteed method to increase either the HUD or the text in the game? I wanted to see if playing with a TV if there's a way to make the text comfortably readable by increasing the size.

Would editing something in Windows or Java setting possibly make it happen?

Well, turns out increasing the % in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display doesn't affect it

Could try turning down your resolution (picture quality will majorly suffer). Otherwise, nope. You'd have to hack the game to do that, and even if ya did, you'd end up breaking everything what with text not fitting menus and such.
