O.o

You should reach the hall of heroes Mission and see which hero there you like to be, I think your mentioning to be a squad guardian.

"highly defensive armor and hard-hitting weapons" ya' mean that?

As a personal preference, I

As a personal preference, I don't like the autogun lines. I would go with a Shadowtech Alchemer line if you want to be more versatile in your damage types. Owlite is always a good option, but I personally like Defender a bit more for T1 and T2, Owlite seems better for T3. Iceburst Brandish is great. If you have Wolver and intend on going farther in the line, I would focus more on swords as opposed to guns or bombs.

SK isn't really a game with tanking, with that said, maybe you'll like to consider a high-damage and defensive loadout? Sounds like you'd want heavy swords, those have two swings which have great knockback and interrupt on the second swing. Heavy sword lines would be Sudaruska, Triglav, Divine Avenger and Gran Faust. Triglav requires Lockdown tokens, while the troika(suda/trig) line is slower than DA/GF. DA deals elemental and GF deals shadow, with troikas being normal. I suggest trying out a troika to see if it's the line you want, and farming Royal jelly tokens for a sealed sword(da/gf line). DA has a better AoE charge, and GF has a charge with a small chance of curse, plus a much longer charge time penalty. For sword damage, you'll want either the Skolver or Snarbolax set from the wolver line. Players usually go for Skolver first, since you won't need to visit the Sanctuary in a Shadow lair to craft the set. For shields, eventually you'll want shields for each type, so i'd suggest Grey Owlite shield, Barbarous thorn blade(damage)/royal jelly shield(higher piercing defense) and Crest of Almire(defends fire/shock)/Dread Skelly Shield(poison/freeze). Alternatively, you could aim for the Omega shell shield for the highest hp shield or Volcanic Plate Shield for higher normal defense. Personally, i'd go for the latter. Swiftstrike works if you know what you're doing, it's hard to tank with, being 3* and low defense, but it gives speed bonus high for all weapons, including heavy swords, which can make up for defense if youre going with the heavy sword knockbacks. Check the wiki for more details, there's other gear that you may want to consider.

Autoguns (Blitz Needle being the most popular) are mostly used by unleashing their charge attacks at close range, dealing a lot of damage to enemies that leave themselves open. If you're looking for a weapon you can use on enemies too dangerous to approach, you might want to consider an Alchemer, or a Pulsar if you're looking for something specifically to deal with turrets.

For armor, Vog Cub and Skolver are both good choices, but you may want to start with either Vog or a Vog/Skolver split. Vog's attack speed increase makes it easier to fight defensively, and its status defense comes in handy in Firestorm Citadel.
