I don't know where you guys stand on this. But i think this is a bad idea. Specificially for someone like me who has made lots of costumes with jelly helms.

Any one with me?
Perhaps all jelly helms heretofore with eyes and the old one stay as they are.

any ways, wanted to voice my opinion.

All the trolls are gonna come out of the woodwork and be happy that it possibly messes up rommil's costumes.

At least Juances got us started with one well-thought out point that actually stays on topics. Good point Juances.

Uh..... I didnt notice next patch notes:

-Eyes on the various jelly helms now animate and recolor according to the knight's personal color like other helms.

I'm not sure If I'll like them to stand out that much.

I'm sorry if the eyes will now conflict with costume choices you have made, but it is a necessary change to not only bring them up to date with the rest of the recoloring, animated eyes, but also to allow them to engage with an upcoming feature to player faces.

feature to player faces?

Ooooh, I like the sound of that.

But does this mean other helmets like the Steam Knight Mask will be given eyes also?

Also I think it would be nice if you allow people to retrieve their accessories from any gear that has changed substantially in appearance since they added it.

Fair enough I suppose (although I do not understand why jelly helms couldn't be treated as any other helm that lacks eyes)

I suuuuuuuure hope this feature is a look of surprise and delight @ all the new content that has been added =o

Well I dont have a jely helm,

Well I dont have a jely helm, but I can see why this could cause some rage.

I have to agree though, you should allow players to take off any accessories from their jelly helms if they had them on before the update, just to satisfy those who didnt see this coming. I guess it may look strange... but I cant see any long term game-breaking-everyone-dies-ragequit affects because of this.

Idk. I'll chack out the update after Piano practice etc. before taking sides, if at all.

Hey nick

Just want to point out due to the somewhat translucent nature of the jelly helm, the eyes glitch out above accessories that are supposed to cover the eyes. For example they somehow standout above my helm mounted displays. If someone has on a game face they eyes are bizarrely half above their eyebrows.
Obviously i was not a fan of the eyes in the 1st place, but to make matters worse they just behave strangely around accessories altogether.

I have never actually been bothered by the original jelly eyes and I don't see why I ever would have wanted them to be like other helms? Though I may just be reading what you said wrong.

Anyway, is this "upcoming feature to player faces" something that we would desire for looks? If so, I am fairly certain that people with jelly costumes now look quite silly, "feature to player faces" or not. Due to the personal colors that we do have and such, jelly helms kind of just look silly now in my opinion costume or no costume.

There are plenty of helms that would not benefit from any new eye feature, and it would be no big deal at all if jelly was not included as well.

But these are my opinions and I bet some people really like this change...

Oh...

I understand that this change is vital for a future update, but I must say I really don't like it.

Yellow eyes on a Rock Jelly Helm makes me look like I have flashlights shining out of my head.
The contrast between the two colours makes my eyes stand out way too much.

It hasn't nothing to do with accessories, it just looks bad...

such an easy solution :)
and again, i see no harm in treating jelly helms as no eyed helms (like quicksilver).

Kinda boils right back to "when you fix what isn't broken you break what was fixed." I see no reason to fix something this arbitrary that no one was requesting? I mean, we got the entire community requesting sum redesigns on gunner 5* gear, and its ignored. I've never seen anyone say a thing about jelly helms, they come in and change it and you have two categories:

#1 apathetic. Didn't care before, don't care now.
#2 disappointed. The change messed up what they had and already loved.

People might be thinking that

People might be thinking that oh only Rommil cares because of his costumes, but no, many of us don't like the change. Just to clarify that... somehow I had a premonition of someone commenting something based on that.

Rommil's look on the gunner gear example is great. And things like this have occurred in other areas too, to our dismay.

Jelly helms need to have prismatic eyes because it is important and necessary for some eye animation update (which it is not. plenty of helms have no prismatic eyes whatsoever, and this is where I can actually get upset IRL over a jelly helm in a video game).

↓

Many dislike how the jelly helms look now, eye animation change or not.

↓

Our time could have been spent somewhere much more useful, even if we are to be talking about specifically graphics here: Gunslinger hats.

Something similar happened to weapons. One star weapons get some better charge attack, even though some new players skip one star items let alone skip using charge attacks for the ones that do have one star items ---> Nobody really cares about this change, it hasn't really affected anyone --> Our time could have been spent doing something about the ton of weapons that are unbalanced. Now this one specifically can't really be brought up much anymore because we did in fact get weapons balanced and such, but it is still something to look at while considering the current unbalanced weapons.

Thanks guys

Just wanted to give a sincere thanks to everyone who has popped in to support this thread. I'm hoping that if enough people post here, we can get an option like xplad suggested (+1 to you). I personally always really like the dynamic (idea) of the jelly helms eyes being hidden behind the jelly. It made it singularly unique in the armor and costume arsenal. It was the defining characteristic of the helm for many of us. Please support this thread.

Thanks so much guys, for taking it seriously and discussing it.

I don't personally care about

I don't personally care about the Jelly eye thing, but it is always nice to see rapid response to community feelings. I am very happy to hear that the AH glitch may be fixed now.

Garlicveggie has a point. If jelly helms could equip the Primatic Glow Eye accessory, then the people that did like the eye color could be happy too (well if they can afford it).
