Knew it! Prestige is just a number. Nothing worthwhile (as of yet). All it does is give you a badge for bragging rights.

That aside, the rest of the update looks good. So yeah. I can't complain too much.

Prestige = bounty/worthiness

Prestige = bounty/worthiness of a knight if you want people to know this that is. Otherwise just keep quiet to yourself with your low rank & low bounty if you are a good player but don't really care if people know it or not ;D

Bounty?

So you think prestige is how much the gremlins are willing to pay for your head on a stick or something?

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL ad infinitum

I am laughing SO hard now. This was the most pointless add-on in this game EVER. I have to give a moment of silence for my old Freezing Vaporizer though. And I wonder about how people are feeling right now if they were dumping 5* equipment until now. I would feel SO cheated, hahahaha.

Oh, yeah, last badge is 45000 prestige! So keep throwing those 5* equipment until AT LEAST FOUR MONTHS FROM NOW. Oh, god, the tears won't stop, I may tear something from laughing so hard too.

But hey, maybe OOO will give something worthwhile, they said this is the FIRST reward... PFFFF hahaahahah!

No, seriously, I would like to know how much money was thrown by people until now. I seriously want to know, and how people are feeling right now.

You can gain prestige by

You can gain prestige by doing Clockworks Missions. Supply Missions are not a must-to-do to gain Prestige. Not that I care much, just saying.

Why cake mission is still

Why cake mission is still there?

And also,so actually this 'shield alike symbol' (that i have discovered like week ago after one of failed patches: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/49592 ) was in fact the prestige reward, or kind of annoucment of it, that got introduced with todays patch.

So it seems that week ago it have leaked out with anniversary update and got quickly removed with one of afterpatch. Thats why no dev have commented on it.

I don't know why you guys were so expectant. It's called Prestige, as in honor/respect/all that jazz?

It's just some recognition, nobody's problem but said players who spent all their saving on trying to scoop up all the prestige they could get.

Have you guys ever played or

Have you guys ever played or heard of this game called Call of Duty? There's this system in that game with the same name is this one; "Prestige." When you Prestige in CoD, you lose everything you've earned up to that point. However, you gain this little symbol next to your name that shows you've prestiged. You can do this multiple times (I believe it's' 20 times max in MW3). It seems pretty similar to the system in this game, and it's been working so far, as the countless people who have reached 10th prestige will tell you.
The dictionary definition of prestige is "reputation or influence arising from success, achievement, rank, or other favorable attributes." It says nothing about gaining material wealth. Did you really think OOO was going to hand you items just because you attained a number?
Also, the patch notes say this is the FIRST prestige reward. There are probably more coming, so you should see what they introduce first before raging.

Yes Xylka, is 45000 prestige.

Also, I am laughing even harder, as guess what the names the prestige icon files have:"prank". It is so fitting, hahaha.

No, it is called a leaked feature from last patch that is absolutely pointless and people were probably throwing bags of money to get something a bit worthy, just a bit. How about going back to school and get that learning comprehension back? I was talking about the "prestige" part, you know?

Thanks for making me laugh even harder.

So that patch is the be-all end-all for what OOO will do for the prestige system? I wasn't aware you were privy to OOO's plans, unless you weren't. Stop sullying the forums with your BS.

Also, no one but a few people and probably you were throwing "bags of money" expecting something for all your prestige.

How about going back to school and get that learning comprehension back?

No thanks. My reading comprehension is just fine. If you're going to address that specific part, then don't say "the most pointless PATCH ever". Maybe go back to school and get that... y'know... English thing back?

Thanks for making me laugh even harder.

(Should read "BAWWWWWW[etc.]")

BS? Oh, well, tell that to the people who paid for it. Also, yes, I said "feature", so you certainly need it. Do you want to keep going with this? I am enjoying it so far.

so you certainly need it.

Wha--? Do you even know what a feature is? It doesn't mean "something you need". You must be deluded if you think you're saying anything that could even remotely make sense and the keep saying that you're laughing or something.

Prominent=necessary? Oh, thanks! Looks like that stupidly large wheel of cheese in my backyard is important after all! Sorry, but I don't take advice from people who aren't educated.

So, you say that prestige

So, you say that prestige wasn't advertised by OOO as one of the main features of the Mission system? My, you must be new here then.

Protip: Acting trollishly under the guise of "acting cool" isn't being cool. It's just being a troll.

And now, if you excuse me, I will go to play the game. This goes to both here and the other thread. Have a nice day, you were quite entertaining.
