it takes 22 hour to get my mist back???? that SO WRONG. so heres my question: why do they make it take so long? (besides the obviouse fact they want me to get pissed and buy CE)
WHY???!?!
The game gives you some free play time. But they cant let you play forever so easily.
Programmers need money to buy food :p
Simple, so that you don't starve yourself out for playing non-stop.
100 mist can be used for about 1-2 hours of gameplay (I think). More depending on where/how/with who you choose to play. Play Lockdown to extend that further. That's more that enough playtime for a day :\
I you really want to play non stop 24/7, buy an elevator pass. Still need to buy CE if you die a lot though.
In the early parts of the game, the Mist Energy limit feels like a real pain. By the end of Tier 3, it's barely an issue.
When you reach Tier 2, there are several missions that pay their worth in crowns each time they are completed.
Think of it this way...
This isn't really a Play for Free game.
To be able to play all you want, you have to buy 1 "30-day elevator pass" every month. It's like a monthly subscription.
And then there is buying "Crystal Energy", it's like a shortcut to get better items. (Trading for crowns, Crafting items sooner, etc.)
tl;dr version:
It's not worth paying for Crystal Energy (Unless it's a gift xD), because elevator passes will let you go down to unlimited levels.
(NOTE: For crafting, Crystal Energy can be purchased with crowns.)
Hope I helped! :)
Ele pass may or may not be cheaper than just buying CE to run levels with.
You can be infinitely self sufficent by buying CE with the crowns you make from just tier 1-2 content. You can sell the materials that drop for extra profit. You can sell unbound boss items from your boss tokens for large amounts of profit. All of this just from tier 1-2.
You don't even need to buy CE using money because you can buy it with ingame currency. You can play infinitely without spending a dime. You can get literally DOZENS of 5* items without paying a dime.
"You can sell the materials that drop for extra profit. You can sell unbound boss items from your boss tokens for large amounts of profit."
When did you do this? It may have worked back then, but it won't now--at least, not for T1. (Certainly T2 turns a profit even before materials etc. are factored in.)
to break even you need to earn ~650cr per level. This is relatively achievable on pretty much any tier but you have to have a decent amount of CE so you can use it between selling stuff.
Just looking at the snarbolax lair (T1 easily repeatable with missions).
Each spark is worth 100cr minimum (sell 5* trinkets back to vendors), sometimes more but a lot of the material markets crashed. For example Ghost bells used to sell for 2kcr but now they go for 1k or less. Those are 10 token items, so there is no point to trade for mats if they make the same or less than trinket vendoring.
Wolvers drop mostly fairly expensive mats. (From memory) Sharp Fang 1* = ~40cr Monster bone 2* = ~170cr, Bushy Tail = ~300cr
Frumious Fangs are worth 75cr each minimum (vendoring boss items), for a total of 225cr each time you beat the boss.
If you earn 300cr per level, then you need 1 spark and a few decent mats for each level. Not really all that unrealistic. The problem (like I stated earlier) is storing up enough CE to start with so you can hit that point where you can stock up on things that need to be traded in bulk.
There may even be better T1 missions, but I don't know.
Looks like I've underestimated the value of the mats you get. Interesting.
@Norlead- Talking about those times when ghost bells costed 2k cr,I bought one sun silver for 11k crowns to craft my levi(and that was cheaper than AH).
@sir-plays-alot-It's called capitalism.
It's called the world son... it ain't fair. get used to it.
If you seriously want to play 24/7 buy elevator pass..........................

Yes, and it will take you an infinity to make enough money to afford 5 star gear that way.
The best way to make money in this game is trough mist energy.
Each payed account and each different computer that you can play on give you 100 mist / day:
* You can have 1 free account for each computer, any other free accounts will share energy when you play them on that computer.
* Payed accounts have separate energy
You can upgrade a free account by making any purchase.
I believe that mist should take longer to replenish :D
"The best way to make money in this game is trough mist energy."
That's an absurd claim, because mist and CE use are complementary. Of course you use your mist energy first. And then? Wait for it to replenish? A valid choice, certainly, but if you want additional profit/day, you don't just wait: you buy 100 CE and run Rise or Fall for a profit. You'll get to 5* faster running profitable missions with mist *and* CE than running them with mist alone.
It's not a charity.
