I got to the core with no deaths, just find a friend with mist and have them suicide everything while you sit back with popcorn :D

...upon completion of the achievement 'dauntless delver' I sat slumped over staring at a wall for several minutes, exhausted. It was only then that Sojuu pointed out that we hadn't gotten the achievement on steam. What could have gone wrong? Why were we not aptly rewarded? And then it hit us. We hadn't opened the core, and gone inside. I crouched down near the railing as the camera through which I see the world moved (I think I might have clairvoyance of some sort... anyone else experience this???) upwards looking down at the glowing crack. Sojuu stepped onto my back and began to climb over the rail. He then proceeded to pull me over as well. Together, we lowered a rope constructed entirely out of scrap metal and gel drops into the heart of the core... We descended gracefully down the rope, until we reached the bottom of the pit. It was dark and dingy, and we saw the bodies of the alpha squad lying around us. They'd jumped. Morons.
Sojuu took out his DA that he'd brought and began to attempt to cut into the heart of the world. No good. Then we tried nitronome, that didn't work either. Minerals brought strange patterns from it... eventually, we looked up to see a single slip of paper floating out of a crack in the core. It read 'support ticket'. I filled it out hastily and sent it in... "Dear devs, I earned this achievement in game but steam refuses to recognize it. Could you..." I stuffed it back into the core.
I went back to the rope, and started to climb, Sojuu not far behind me. After reaching the top, I looked down to notice that Sojuu had fallen. Never to be seen again. Except for on steam, where he plays other games. I pulled in the rope, and found the problem- a severe lack of f2p content for Sojuu to enjoy, causing him to get bored.
Just then, a bolt of lightening shot out of the core, and I got another slip of paper back, expelling that some god was sorry for me not getting my award. Quickly checking steam, I found it earned.

Nice story, but honestly, would you have the time to climb down a rope if you were being chased by the Swarm? Probably not. (According to Rulen, when he was covered by the Swarm, it felt like ice and fire as it had burned his body.

It depends on the meaning of "to the core"
If you mean "in the core," then no. The only people who made it in the core are alpha squad and the game developers.
If you mean "from Depth 1 or Depth 19 to just outside the core in one run without dying," then yes. I got the dauntless delver and gold survivor achievements some time ago. I heard some other people those achievements after going though pure shock gates. This was before the quicksilver nerf and the arsenal change stations, so that's quite an achievement.
If you mean "got to the core without dying once between the time they first logged on to the time they reached the core," then I truly doubt it. I think everyone has died at some point. But, it can't be ruled out. There are some really talented players in the game, and I wouldn't be surprised if a player turned up who never died once between when they first logged in and when they reached the core. Still, I doubt it.
The core itself is locked until the devs release that content, but plenty of people have made it to the core entrance, and I'm sure many have without deaths.
