I'm starting to heat up my:
-Gunslinger Set
-Shadowtech and Voltech Alchemer(Both MK II)(It also helps to be effective against 4 enemy family types and 2 neutral)
So Any tips?
I'm gonna get a CATALYZER.

Turn off auto aim because it interferes with aiming at distant targets.
Charge attacks on Alchemers have slightly longer range than normal shots. It is useful for hitting turrets from a safe distance.
for gunning, these are some thing i've picked up from Blueflood/Mhmok/other gunners in my guild.
And that's all ATM.
Thanks for the Tip guys, Pulsars are really shining out the other guns these days..
Hi! I'm a fellow gunslinger, let me share my two cents...
Pulsars are good crowd control guns, and Polaris has the + to be an awesome turret destrying tool.
Alchemers are inrcredibly fun and effective guns though, don't underestimate them.
The only "problem" with them is that they rely very much on their charge attacks, so you'll need to have either a CTR trinket or a Mask of Seerus to unleash their full potential.
As a piercing gun, Autogun -> Blitz Needle would be a great choice, since that gun is Vanaduke's worst nightmare.
Anyway, the Magnus -> Callahan line is also fun to use against beasts and much safer, since you don't need to charge it. (Their charge attack is hilarious but useless)
Antiguas are also very good guns for DPSing single targets, and they leave you very mobile.
Catalyzers are very niche guns, as they are more effective when soloing than in parties, due to their stick-stick-stick-booom mechanics.
For your armor, I would suggest full Nameless to start, or maybe one piece of Nameless and one of Shadowsun, for the dmg bonus.
Aand as a general note, I agree. ABSOLUTELY turn off auto aim.
Have fun! ;D
Alchemers are charge-attack-only guns? I wouldn't say that, I usually use them for their higher mobility and ricochets, i only infrequently use their charges. Alchemer ricochets can allow you to hit twice on the same enemy and once on another, if used right. Of course, angle ricochet is random, but they still deal pretty good damage to match the antigua lines.
So far, most of the guns are pretty balanced, but the ones that deal the highest damage would be the alchemers, antiguas and autoguns, potentially. Not saying the rest arent good, but some of them are used differently and for various situations. I suggest starting out with an alchemer or antigua line gun
Well, the polaris line is amazing against gun puppies and other constructs. The blitz needle is amazing for vanaduke.Tho if you're going with all guns, then beasts and fiends are going to be a pain.Blitz just doesnt take care of them because of their speed and since blitz is a non mobile gun.....it just doesnt work that well.callahan(dont know anything about iron slug) is a good, safe way to get rid of fiends and beasts, but just dont beat a nice piercing sword.
Oh! By the way, how do you make most out of the damage in Alchemers through their ricochet shots?
aim a bit to the right of your target, you will likely get the double hit on regular shots.
I have trouble with Puppies(The cute puppy-like turrets that spit their odd poo in bullets... okay that was a bad joke nevermind.)
In the Bishop gate(forgot the adjective)
I had a hard time since the robots keep chasing me and in the 4 corners there's a puppy that has a good chance to induce shock, pretty 50% sure I will die...
So should I kill the mob first or kill the turrets first?
If I kill the turrets first I'll be in a hard time to evade the mob and can make me stuck to a corner..
If I kill the mob first then It will be a bullet hell scene since most of the monster can spit projectiles and will be hard to evade those bullets especially if those are status effect-inducing, it will be a pain...
I usually go for turrets first, charge up an alchemer and try to hit just a little to the side of the puppy's head. if done right all, or most, of the ricochets will bounce around inside of the puppy doing massive damage and one shoting it. Although, results may vary with low * level alchemers. They dont really start to shine until 4*
as for your pulsar, ya get one i guess. However, I recommend getting a Super Nova over a Polaris (unless you plan on playing a lot of Lockdown). Polaris is kind meh, and can easily be out DPS'd by a Storm Driver. And Super Nova is a great gun to use soloing Vana, if your not confident on your ability to Blitz him along.
just my 2 cents ^_^
I was thinking of Catalyzer to use since I'm more of a soloist than a party-goer(I have bad connection...), so should I buy Catalyzer or Pulsar, I seem that I can't afford both...
Antigua can be both gotten by jelleh gems, which I will get Soon since I'm planning to grind JK(probably grinding vana will be a LONG time before I do that).
I'll be staying with alchemers at the moment..
If there's anyone willing to convince that I should still push on with the pulsar, discuss here :).
1. If talking about arena take a look at this link and learn more about Arena Waves - it will help you greatly to survive arenas. Personally, if I were you, I would start with Gun Puppies. I might leave one alive though to avoid triggering another wave of monsters.
2. I would take Pulsar before Catalyzer. It's personal opinion only, but I rarely use my Biohazard, while Polaris is present in almost every loadout I have (not for its DPS but utility). Four Gun Puppies located in different corners of Arena are not a type of encounter I would advice Catalyzer.
3. As much as I like using Alchemers sometimes they are inefficient enough because of their short 2-hit-combo. If you encounter situation that seems difficult to deal with Alchemers try some 3-hit-combo weapon like Blaster or Pulsar.
I don't know about Pulsar... A video about a Virulent Catalyzer soloing Jelleh king... makes me tempt to get it...
Arrgh :( Probably I will get a Catalyzer even against the Forumer's preferred Pulsars...
I can't think :O.
Yes, I do find Alchemers very Ineffecient because of their combo, I'll replace one of them soon.
i play as a gunner and my main guns were: biohazard, polaris, blitz. but now ive got quite bit more: supernova, valiance, umbra, and am making the other alchemer 5*
the biohazazrd line is especially good for royal jelly because of the poison. this prevents the mini jellies fusing with the big one which heals him =). the only offside is that it is a really slow gun. as for polaris/supernova theyre mainly used for theyre knockback and theyre selling point is a gunpuppy killer. theyre also good on the lumbers. but not so good on the mecha knight enemy things because they just sheild your bullets which gets rlly annoying in arenas
Probably this will be my plan..
- Heat up my current set to level 5 or more..
- Buy a Catalyzer and Sell your MK II (shadowtech) Craft the current set to 4* you can do the latter later...
- Heat the Catalyzer, this would be easier now since you can easily deal with the T2 enemies.
- Upgrade your Catalyzer to match up with the current star levels of your current set
OPTIONAL: Do lots of LD to get the Modules you need(Trueshot) from sullivan.
- Now you're ready to go 5 star!
That last step is probably making me go Indecisive, But I saw a post in the Arsenal's Forum by Cocosnake that has this setup
Perfect Mask of Seerus
Shadowsun Slicker
Swiftstrike Buckler
Trinks: Elite Handgun and Trueshot Module
Result: CTR Max Asi and Dmg Very High..
I'm worried about the Helm though...
@Perry Pig
I saw a video somewhere that only uses Virulent Catalyzer, No vials(but threw one accidentally but already poisoned) and no deaths.. that was epic, he rarely used the shield. :)
well i would probably keep the alchemer, theyre always handy to have
imo, shadowtech charge attack damage >>> Biohazard charge damage.
Any main gunners rarely use shield, they are always busy shooting stuffs.
And, I just hate polaris because damage was so-so but it flew enemies everywhere that your party would need to chase them.
Ehm, you could add me as your friend (please say something on description, otherwise I get a mindset to delete any random friend request) and I could show you stuffs a bit.
<- my in-game name
I don't know... Maybe I can keep the Shadowtech if I have enough money or I'm good enough to solo twins, but it is really... close to impossible...
Thanks Poopsie, Atleast I could get a feel how the other guns shoot.
Anyway, if there is an alternative to Perfect mask of seerus.. What is it? Probably that helm will be too expensive.
Get blitz needle line. It's annoying to use it at first, but it's well worth it.
Try alchemer if you consider the charge. If you don't ever charge at all, don't take these guns
