I have this cool idea that weapons and armour can fuse and get different abitlties and looks. For example, lets say a brandish fuses with a troika; The new weapon can get the abitlites of both weapons with some exceptions. So the new weapon may have a stun ability and a final crafting chain like a brandish. Please leave your opinions below :) i really want this feature. Plus, there will be more weapons in the game and thus keep players occupied. ^_^

There are so many different combinations possible that it would times the amount of gear by itself, creating an ENORMOUS amount of work taking A LOT of time. This time could be spent making expansions, missions, bugfixing and other more important things. So no. Did you even think that out?

Hm

Somewhat pointless as most of the 'fused' results would be obtainable by another weapon already in existence, just in a different visual form.

Basically it would mean you're just fusing for the appearances, because the effects you want already exist in another weapon.

So -1

Instead of this silliness, make more lines to the weapons; request fulfilled.

-17766

Allow me to enlighten you with simple math.

There are about 189 weapons in-game at this point in time.
Suppose you want to combine two weapons.
This means you will have 17766 (189C2) new "weapons" to make to cater to the combination process.
And that's just weapons alone.

Now, suppose you actually manage to convince the devs to make 17766 new weapons.
Non-mathematically speaking, combining a DA with a Flourish means that you don't need any other swords in the game.

Ergo, -17766.
This is one of the worst ideas ever conceived, barring the usual few of pets, removing energy etc.

It could be a long project for 3 rings which they could work on every once in a while but too many fusions = too overpowered. For example, if you mix Graun Faust + Striker then + all brandish upgrades then + fearless Rigadoon + Divine Avenger + striker again, it would have all the status infliction, be extremely strong and fast, it might be good to have a limit on fusing...

Noooo

So let's say your a bomber... You could fuse a mad bomber suit with volcanic and bombastic demo suits, giving you no weakness to fire or ice, and put the mercurial demo in you have no weakness to shock. How about we throw a completely unrelated armor.... A Snarby coat, oh! And a vog cub coat.... How about you mix in every armor in the game! No... First of all, that would look hidious, and second of all, OP.... Hehe a Nitronome with all the mist bombs! That would b fun!!! And let's fuse a DA, a Nitro, and an Umbra! (lol bad mix?) a gun that makes you walk slower that has the bullets sometimes shadow, sometimes elemental, and explode on impact! The charge is a billion times stronger that shoots 3 randomly changing shadow to elemental swords that have a Nitronome ranged explosion on impact...

Sorry, but that would be worse than a Trollaris....

If...

If we do this, there should be a limit on fusing, is that what ppl are saying?

Instead of fusing weapons, wich in the end is also pretty expensive, just let developers create new unique weapons on their own without any fancy fusion mechanic. Cheaper, less coding requried, no weird overpowered combinations etc. Thats the general idea.

No, we are not saying there should be a limit on fusing.
There shouldn't even be fusing.

It could be a long project for 3 rings which they could work on every once in a while but too many fusions = too overpowered.
It takes them months to come up with OCH and a few new items.
To come up with anything close to 17766 is sheer mayhem; that and they'd have to justify why combining is in-game in the first place.

just let developers create new unique weapons on their own without any fancy fusion mechanic. Cheaper, less coding requried, no weird overpowered combinations etc.
Again, if recycling old mechanics or combining them into new weapons is the pivotal issue here, just make new weapons with new graphics etc.
No need for such a flawed system as 'combining weapons'.

And please, spare me the palaver about combining weapons being 'cool'. No, it's not cool.

Would be really cool to fuse a Sudaruska with a Glacius, I bet I'd get a heavy sword that can inflict freeze status!

Oh wait...
