Because voice chat uses

Because voice chat uses features exclusive to the steam client and people who run SK through steam. I just typically leave voice chat on push to talk but never really use it so that people know that at least I will hear them, even if they don't get a verbal response.

Concentration

Yeah I don't use voice chat at all because then it's hard to concentrate, for me that is. I've used it before, but I don't think it's easy to concentrate on it when you have a low-attention span to what your doing.

crazy conspiracy theory

Maybe it's because non-Steam users tend to call the Royal Jelly "Jelly King", and Three Rings/Sega is trying to punish them for using slightly incorrect terminology.

As noted above voice chat is

As noted above, voice chat is built into the Steam while it is not built into SK itself. All games on Steam (if I am correct) can use voice chat via the Steam client. It is rather easy to fix by using Vent or Mumble honestly(the latter being what my guild uses). Mumble has an added benefit of showing you your FPS also, which I personally find neat.

I don't know how you guys see

I don't know how you guys see an external app as a solution to people not using voicechat in PUGs. :itisamystery:

If it is a PUG then the group

If it is a PUG then the group is typically going to be sub-par anyways. PUGs have a terrible bad habit of not listening so voice chat wouldn't gain you anything in one other then an earful of curses and "noob".
