Do crits mean effective dmg against a certain monster type?

The answer to your first question from the title is, yes the Brown outlined numbers mean the monster was weak to that damage type.

He's probably saying some incoherent babbling that's supposed to mean, "Why don't I see brown numbers when I use my ridiculously overpowered shadow sword against Tier 1 slimes?"

The answer is because you're doing so much damage that it goes PAST the upper threshold for brown numbers, causing them to go back to white and blue. You're still doing bonus damage, though.

i always noticed that sometimes the dmg that should be brown was white again, while still high dmg.

maybe they could put a RED dmg when you do shitloads of it?
