Intentionally difficult enemies I can understand. Intentionally placing the camera at an angle to create artificial difficulty is complete and utter hogwash.
Please admit, poor camera angle intended to get you killed.
so... whats your point?
EDIT: Amazing troll there^^^^ XD
Intended to get you killed? I think not. Promote situational awareness? That's more like it.
I assume you mean Slag Guards/Trojans. Unless you're in UFSC, there are never more than 2 in a room, and it's not that difficult to keep track of where they are and when they last attacked. I haven't been hit by a Slag charge from out of the visible range in most of my FSC runs, because I tend to keep track of them. Take it as a challenge. Claiming this is "intended to get you killed" holds as much water as saying "monsters were made to get you killed".
So... you like it then sylvanius? I take it thats what you're saying...
@Damastaa, what is the point of your post? Mine is very clear. I don't like the camera angle, I think its designed to put a blind-spot where there doesn't need to be one.
Claiming this is "intended to get you killed" holds as much water as saying "monsters were made to get you killed".
Wait a minute, aren't monsters actually made to kill you? That statement actually would hold some amount of weight, unlike the other.
@ Extribble, I can control monsters by where I am/how I act, but how often are you attacked from the south by strikers? Every time they have the chance.
How can the blind spot not be designed to get you killed but at the same time provide added difficulty?
@Sylvanius
What I meant was that complaining that the camera angle is intended to get you killed is the equivalent of complaining that monsters were made to get you killed. The game is not made to be easy, and the camera angle at least gives it a good 3-D feel. After re-reading it I realized my fail, sorry for the lack of clarity :x
EDIT:
@OP: I assumed you were referring to PvE, you didn't specify in your original post that this was a PvP issue. If it was an issue where only one team could do it, I can see a problem. But it's actually an advantage/disadvantage that is equally shared, so I can't really say if it's a bad thing. Also note, a LOT of environment models (like walls and such) were made with the intention of being seen at certain angles (or so some Spiral Spy-ers claim). Incorporating a top view would likely require quite a bit of re-modeling by the developers.
That's the point. If they let you see everything it would be too easy, you need to learn to adapt to situations, if you feel you can't defend the point/yourself... FREAKIN' RUN!!! D:
Oh and it does annoy everyone (By this I mean alot xD), but again, we can't make PvP too easy otherwise it would be a stupid game mode.

Extribble:
lol ok ok I see
I think its designed to put a blind-spot where there doesn't need to be one.
Yeah, they should just stick with old-fashioned cameras that gives us a 360-degree view. Jesus Christ.
The only place I'd say needs to be changed due to the camera angle is when the gate is at the bottom and it blocks your view (i.e. arenas)
I will admit, them gates have got me killed before D:
Probably would be one of the few areas though ^^
~The Mighty WeeGee
I agree with Trying. This could be rectified very easily by doing something with the gates though, changing the point of view is entirely unnecessary (referring to OP).
Maybe just switch them with those forcefields that are after arsenal stations?
Based just off the OP alone, The camera angle is fine. I'd like to see you know exactly when and where someone will be behind you in the middle of that situation, if it were real life.
So then First Person perspective is fine? >_>
ALSO
This was an argument made WAYY back about Vanaduke (when you could still trap slags at the gate) And how that camerangle made it hard to fight slags.
ofc we, being very intelligent and adaptable species on Cradle, adapted to our enviornment and learned to fight in the hardest situation :P
Oh my god...you're that guy who made Forum Node 9001...and you're still around...
I've got an eye on you.
Camera Angle's fine. It's like the same as Gauntlet: Legends. Man, what a game that was...
He has a point, but such enemies are intended to create lag, which will pull players back in, hoping that they don't lag, and still be killed, thus using up CE and creating a higher demand for ce.
Saw the thread node 9001 just now.
