Hi everyone I'm here today to expose a person who has been dragging my name thru the mud. A lot of you know me and a lot of you don't so to the people who don't know me my name is Hollafamer. Im sk player who has a deep passion and love for the game. I have played for over a year now and I'm hoping to continue to play for a lot more. Just to explain my sk history a bit I have always enjoyed being apart of the forums and giving my feedback on the game and players opinions about all things sk. I never had a problem with another player and I never had a problem with a Gm. I also pride myself on helping anyone in need or giving people advice about sk. I'm the type of guy who give ya the shirt off my back ask anyone in sk that knows me they tell ya. That being said a recent event has force my hand to do something I have never done. I'm here to expose a player for what he really is. The player's name is actually known a bit around here [redacted]. I'm sure some of you are friends with him and that's fine but I just want to shed light on what this player is trying to do to my good name.

This all started over a pulsar asi vh which I won't go into details because I have zero evidence of our conversation. However after our argument over said item he called me the worst thing I ever want to be called. A scammer he called me. I have made thousands of trades with hundreds of people and the one thing I never ever have been called was a scammer. That name just hurts me in all types of ways I worked hard for my selling and buying reputation and I never ever wanted to be called this name. Selling is one of my favorite things to do in Sk and I love making money its fun to me. A name like this hurts my reputation a thing I take great pride in. Not only that it makes it harder for me to do the thing I love doing which is trading. Would you trade with someone who been named a scammer I certainly would not, so you can see why this bothers me. Anyways the reason for this entire thread was over a different item today. I unboxed a extra short height modifier from a box which witnesses seen me unbox and not caring for it I tried to sell it. Why watching trade chat religiously as i always do I notice [redacted] trying to buy one. I took this as a chance to mend our problems and work out something so that he could see I wasn't a scammer and we merely had a misunderstanding.

For those of you who don't know what a scammer is(scammer - a person who swindles you by means of deception or fraud)
Now I have never made a trade with [redacted] and I never had ever taken a cent from him. I never ever tried to destroy his name simply cause he didn't buy at the price I ask for. If he is out to hurt my reputation then he is gonna get a taste of his own medicine.

So as I was saying I started talking to [redacted] and I started off saying look: I know you think I'm a scammer but perhaps we could work out a deal on this item so you can see I'm not what you think i am. He was open to it and then the negotiation began. He asked what I wanted for it and I not really 100% on the price threw a number out there and said 9kce for it. Now i was wondering if he was just really serious about this or he just want to find more reason to say I'm scammer. He then tells me: 9kce thats wicked high for it your trying to scam me again. I said okay trying to not get him all riled up again about my prices said okay whats your offer. After hating on me for a little bit he then says I will offer 2kce. Now at this point I knew this kid was trying to take advantage of me trying to get on his good side. I tell him well that's bit low I sold most eyes for that. Now just so you understand that in no place on the planet that 2kce is a fair price for me. A dam mirrored box on ah is 2kce, not to mention that everyone in ah was getting a ton more for it. I said to him that it was a low offer and i was gonna take a look in the ah for a price check. He knew that people in ah paid a lot more money for it and he was right when he said that all prices are bloated right now. That being said am I not in my right to sell it for a bloated price is that criminal? If Chris sells shadow dragon wings for 3.5m in ah does that mean he is scammer if someone was willing to pay that price? If so then there are thousands of scammers on sk. Well i rambled on long enough I bet you are saying to yourself Hollafamer where is your evidence well I have it. During the spur of the moment after our argument I scrolled up and took a picture of what this guy said to me basically saying if I didn't sell an extra short height modifier for his said price of 2kce he is gonna tell everyone about the stuff I do. Which makes me wonder what kind of lies is he gonna tell people about me.

Well you can read that anyway you want to but the gist of it is he is gonna ruin my name simply because I didn't sell at the price he wanted to buy it for. Hmm wow I would love to buy a Cadillac for ten bucks buddy, am I gonna get my way no of course not. Should I blackmail the salesman simply because he wasn't willing to sell it at said price no I'm not. Now I wish I took more pictures of our conversation sadly I was stupid and didn't think to do so it would have definitely proved him as a blackmailer. However this one picture should be more than enough evidence to prove that he is trying to hurt my good name. Now I'm sure he will come on and defend himself as he should and I ain't scared one bit of what evidence he has because I know I did nothing wrong to earn this hate. I will be able to put my head on my pillow and go to sleep tonight. I'm a good guy but mess with the bull and get the horns buddy. Lastly if the Gm decided to ban me because this is directed at another player then that's fine. I had a good run on the spiral knights forum and this was one of the things I felt like I need to do. If this is the last thing I ever write on spiral knights forums then it will be the sweetest thing I ever wrote.

Everyone's different and everyone grows up different that's what makes us who we are. I'm not looking to justify my actions but sometimes people are messing with you badly enough that you have to take a stand and I choose my stand to be here rather than anywhere else.

That's not scamming. At the very worst that's selling high. And you know what, I think 9kce is an okay price for an Extra Short Modifier less than 24 hours after it's released.

Heck, I myself got some Mirror Boxes early and managed to pawn 4 of them at 260kcr each.
You want something rare so soon after it's release? Pay the premium.

Don't like it? Wait a week.

Either way, it's good that you got this off your chest, but sometimes doing what you think is right may not be a good idea. Naming someone in a forum is one of them. The repercussions aren't predictable or controllable.

Granted, that was ages ago, but still, no reason and just being a pain for no reason. I didn't even know the guy, he just said I was scamming and going to steal all their cr if they tried to do business with me.

My brother recognizes the name of your 'problem'. Seems you're not the only one who's got some beef with him.

idc that i'm called a scammer bc i know i'm not.
I knew they sold for that much before so i tried it. I was thinking 15k to 20k.
Then after realizing that it's not worth quite that much at that moment i lowered to 10k to 15k & ended up selling it for 12k ce

I think there's a something you can do about it

I do believe when someone's doing this sorta thing to you, you can complain about them under the grounds of harassment then add them to your ignore list. At least that's what I'd do if someone's giving me a bad name in public or giving me a hard time persistently.

Honestly the people that do that are basically either idiots, or they want to get banned. Its supply and demand, more people want it, than how many there is out at the moment, and those that have the item are using them or selling them, which drives up the bidding price since everyone wants in on the promo.

Some people just want things their way and whine and blackmail you for it, so I report them and laugh at their fruitless attempts to degrade me with petty insults in the chat bar.

I'm too conscious of what people think of me, so I don't ignore them. I feel that if I do that, he can be spouting off all the fecal matter about me to everyone else as much as he wants and I won't know about it.

Luckily I don't merchant as much anymore, so I don't have this problem much anymore.

Someone did the exact same thing to me about Tails Tails Accessory. He threatened that he would drag my Rep. through the dirt and that no one would ever buy from me if I didn't sell it for exactly 100k. (I wanted to get the best price from it, I eventually got 153.2k.)

I told him to go for it. Take a guess what happened. Nothing. He didn't do a thing.

Don't let blackmailers intimidate you. Most of the times they're just idle threats and no one will actually care about what they say.

I'm with Holla on this one. As far as I know the price check on Extra-Short rests at average 10-15k CE; there are two on the AH for 1 milli and 1.65 milli apiece. What kind of surprises me is that person-who-we-are-talking-about is rather knowledgeable about pricing, seeing as they have some of the rarer accessories Spiral Knights has to offer. I can understand if 2k CE is a starting bid. I can't see that as a buyout, anywhere, as of this current situation.

tl;dr May not have been blackmail, but still worth a look into. And I'm with Holla.

To me, you come off as a fairly mature and level hearted individual judging by the way you conduct yourself in trade chat and on forums.
Though I found that your creation of this thread was quite immature, and to even think of taking the fall with him is idiotic.
I don't understand why at all you would feel threatened by the words he spouts.
Even if he did try to degrade your reputation, anyone would be able to rationalise that he is a total e-t4rd just by the way he types.
If by the small chance there is, you happen to get banned, then your time on the game would be wasted all because of this e-t4rd.

This can be taken as a life lesson as well.

So basically you're willing to violate the rules in order to call attention to something that this person has not even done yet? I understand that you're offended by the name-calling, but I would be rich if I had a nickel for every unsubstantiated "scammer" accusation that gets thrown around in trade and private chat.

If you would rather be a confirmed rule breaker than an alleged scammer, then that's your choice and I respect that. I highly doubt you'll be banned from the forum for a single violation. Just be aware that repeated violations of forum rules can lead to in-game consequences.

Ok so this may sound weird but i actually read the whole thing Holla posted. I really don't know u very well Holla but now i'm kind of thinking you are some kind of noob. Reasons are:
1. You waste your time typing so much just to get back on someone on a COMPUTER game. (Yes Holla, this is only a game so don't take it so seriously).
2. Send this to a GM instead of showing it to all of us on the forums if you do have a problem with Rhip
4. I've been told like 50 times that I am a lowballer and a high price seller but i don't cry about it. I make money by doing what i do and i get many successful sales. It seems you are a merchanter and i'm confused as to why you cry when one person dosn't make a deal with u therefore making you rage on the forums about it.
5. Grow up and GET A LIFE!!! THIS IS ONLY A GAME!
