Well hey check this out, so wouldn't it make more sense if the minerals that attract the creatures down in the clockworks & to those corresponding stratums to have minerals that have to do with them rather than having random minerals?

Let me simplify hat I'm trying to say with an example:

Wolver Den should have ONLY Crimsonite & Valestone as the minerals to mine when in that depth since it's what attracts them. This might be easier to get into Gate Construction I think. It'll be easier developing levels we want.

Of course this is just an idea but idk if it will have a good enough affect. It's a 50 50 chance of an uber fail set-back.

Also, stun effects should

Also, stun effects should last longer when we get inflicted by monsters because honestly it's not doing much to us. I'd say a really nice lasting stun effect like 10secs? Just something serious enough we should worry about from getting stunned & how vulnerable we will be.

Was just in FSC recently & them trojans are beast!!!!! Cancel my stun suggestion. -EDIT

I don't think that's a good idea having numbers of minerals bolstered like that. Blue and Purple in levels is already MEGA common, we don't want more blue and purple coming from all the fiend and shock levels that are made. (aka, making a theme would just spawn MORE minerals of that theme)

Perhaps we could have the opposite to prevent unbalancing: Have the minerals used to make the them NOT appear in that level.

@Hex I think I remember reading somewhere that that's already in effect to some degree.
Not sure though.
Something like lower chances.

Hmm. I already see a rediculous amounts of blue and purple crystals. And fiend and shock themes are very common, often taking strata 1 of every gate.

From the point I realised it, I refused to pick up any blue or purple crystals. However I still have 800-900 purble/blue crystals and only 1200 green, from the amount of times my teammates pick up blue and purple since they are so frequent.

Exactly why this

Exactly why this stratum-mineral collecting idea will make it easier. I'm ignoring stratums that give off purple & blue!

Anyway. Just did a run of the clockworks and it seems that minerals reflect what is NOT in the strata most the time. So the way it is now seems fair. People make too many fiend and shock levels, green and yellow crystals pop up in them. People use the increased green and yellow to make slime, poison and construct levels, more blue and purple show up etc.

If it was like you say, where you get the minerals from the strata that they are used to make, then we'd end up with an unbalance: as soon as one theme is made, more minerals for that theme will show up and not many for other themes, resulting in more stratas being converted to the said theme, and making it harder and harder to make any other theme. Soon, the entire clockworks will be filled with the one theme and it will be impossible to get another theme because there are no other themed levels to get them from.

That just solved a mystery of mine: Why shock (blue + purple) and fiend (purple + red) show up so much: People run jelly king often which is slime (green + yellow) so lots of red, blue and purple minerals come out of Jk.

So I'm going to have to -1 this thread. ALthough it seems logical, making it the way you propose instead of the opposite will very quickly upset the theme balance in the clockworks.

Well I was thinking that OOOs would work this out somehow like they did with the "All stratums being shock!" (if you remember that fiasco). Gate construction was hell those days. Now two stratums corresponding to the Tier can't be the same type. Plus it does make more sense with the lore.
