I never got AP yet, but I still think polaris is just more useful. It pushes back and groups the slags, causes shock, and has a good chance of hitting vanaduke through his fireballs.
Polaris for THAT room in depth 25, and if you plan to use it only for turrets, for solo or wants to be hated by your teamates.
Otherwise, AP. High mobility, good dps, fast bullets, 6 bullets clip. It's really easy to handle.
But please note that Blitz Needle outperform AP, if you can handle the root : the charge will oneshot a zombie, placing it amongst the best single target weapon (with RSS).
