You guys always overprice new items. On day 1, I've seen mirror boxes go for 250k to 1mil. Really? I mean, I can understand supply and demand, and I'd be expecting new items to be a little pricy, but at LEAST in a somewhat reasonable price range. But 250k for a box? Sorry, that's just pure greed. You guys DO realize that you can get them from the prize wheel, right? They're not rare. I could do one dungeon run right now and walk home with a mirrored box.

Honestly, the prices of these items will drop like a rock in a week. In fact, during the first few days you'll notice significant price changes. I don't care how many of you idiots are desperate enough to spend a truckload of dosh on something that you'll be able to buy at dollar store prices in a short period of time. If you're patient, you can wait it out a bit, and save tons of money.

No, I'm not ranting because I want eyes, height mods and mirror boxes RIGHT NOW, I'm only speaking what's on my mind. Come on guys, quit being greedy. You don't NEED the new items right away as if your life depends on it, and you don't need to sell the items for a price so high they're considered unobtainium. I know it's your money, and you can do whatever you want with it, but hey if you enjoy throwing money in a furnace then that's your hobby not mine, enjoy overpaying for everything and essentially getting scammed. /rant

I'm JUST saying that these items will be dirt cheap in a few days, and it's idiotic to buy them for such high prices now. This happens with all new items, I know this by experience.

Again, it's YOUR money, not mine, I prefer saving money instead of tossing it in a bonfire.

Then don't complain. if you don't care what people do with their money then you shouldn't care wether they spend all of it on a mirrored Lockbox

"You don't NEED the new items

"You don't NEED the new items right away as if your life depends on it, and you don't need to sell the items for a price so high they're considered unobtainium"

You contradicted yourself.

Supply and demand yet again, and no one understands. Everyone wants them, but not EVERYONE has them or is selling them.

Its like if I had 3 of the most wanted thing in existence, but EVERYONE wants it. How do I decide who gets them? Either use em myself, pawn off to a friend, or let the people decide based on HOW MUCH THEY ARE WILLING TO PAY FOR IT.

Just wait a week or so when people have actually BOUGHT and OPENED the boxes and items with THEIR hard earned money. Then when theres enough itll be just a givaway to the just as greedy people who wanted a lower price.

Want it cheap? Well too bad, I want 500$. No srsly, I want it, so that means I should get it instantly >_________> /sarcasm

Look, simply put, stop ranting over something thats cosmetic and you are too cheap/dont have the money to buy it right now.

I'll love it if CE hits above 8k. So much rage over such an obvious cycle.

Infact the cycle of promos is like this:

Promo introduced
People complain its too pricy.
The OOO sale that went on early leaves
Everyone rich has stuff they can sell
They decide to compromise with the whiners and sell the 1000s of stuff they have for cheaper
everyone is normal again

And if you want more, heres the CE cycle...

Ce goes up
Everyone rages
Promo introduced
(promo cycles)
Ce goes down

and so forth. Supply and demand is so simple, yet no one gets it? okay....

Oh and yes I realize its a rant, but would you rather have no posts at all on the topic?

Also sorry about the above, I

Also sorry about the above, I saw the title and read the last paragraph assuming the same.

So now its...

Yeah, itll be cheap later, when people actually HAVE the items. Fastest way to show off and get it --> pay for it. Not your money, you shouldnt care if people waste it. Heck in these cases I'd take advantage of the situation and gain a hefty profit. Problem? Well there shouldn't be one.

Tell me the exact chance of finding the mirrored lockbox in the prize wheel, then I'll consider that

The point of this thread wasn't to "complain" it was to express thoughts and show people the truth of the situation.

Yes, I know I can't change someone's behavior with text through the internet, but is it so wrong to have a nice heated debate or discussion while pointing out problems and why they should be fixed? By your logic we shouldn't have a suggestions forum. I'm not trying to offend you, or start an argument in any way, shape or form, but I'm only being completely honest with you.

I know I'm not the only one that knows these prices are absurd. I actually feel one tiny strand of pity for the desperate fools that spend too much money on these items, when in the near future I can buy 10 of those items with the money one would spend buying a single box, modifier or eye changer today. Next time you ask yourself "Why do we have a bad economy?" Look at the players that squander money on cosmetics instead of waiting a short time to get them at an excellent price.

No need to express the truth

No need to express the truth thats here though. By all means I completely agree, people should wait to buy them, but I question the stability of the market that way.

Also we dont have a bad economy, neccessarily, but I think its fine the way it is. If everyone was smart and waited for the price to drop, then... idk what exactly, but the outcome could make the market even more unstable/ make the items more P2P only oriented.

I know a lot about supply and demand, as well as the basics of economics, but this is just over the line. The prices can be high, but they're unreasonably high. I can deal with items being high in price during the first week but this is just too much.

In all seriousness, I'm not ranting because I can't afford these things, believe me I have enough cash on my hands to do whatever I want with it, I could jump the gun and get boxes, mods and eyes but I don't want to because it's not a wise decision for me. I made this because I feel a bit of pity for those who are overpaying, and kind of disappointed in the economy.

I don't want to constantly argue with anyone here, I've already said everything I need to say.

I dunno man, I hate misconceptions.

I just thought it would be better if players would be smarter with their money, it can strongly benefit the economy.

People aren't smart with

People aren't smart with their money. They aren't smart in real life, and they certainly aren't smart in SK where the consequences don't *really* matter. Never have been, never will be. It's the same thing that happens with every single promo: some people just HAVE to have the new items RIGHT NOW, so they'll pay crowns out the wazoo for them. In a week, the prices will drop and the rest of us will start buying them.

@No-Fun-Allowed:

@No-Fun-Allowed: unobtainium?i see what you did there!

but im with you. personally,i think that existing characters should be able to change their eyes and height once for free before having to buy a lockbox and key or having to spam the clockworks for the small chance to get one,but im not going to rage on about it.but i agree, they shouldnt be so expensive.now if they were around the price of a regular lockbox but maybe 5-10k more expensive, then id understand.but these prices are ridiculous!!!

You guys fail to realize that

You guys fail to realize that currently about the only way to obtain one is to spend 10 bucks on a single energy purchase. I haven't heard a single story of anyone actually getting one from the clockworks or missions YET, which means their drop rate probably is low. 10 bucks of energy is around what... 3500? 4000 if you buy the 20,000 pack. That makes each box worth about 250,000 crowns to the ones who buy energy, but since the demand is higher than the supply, the price goes up and up, well over 500K for a single box.

It's not overpriced... it's just supply and demand in effect again. If the boxes were LOWER than 250K, I wouldn't be buying energy on Friday.

@OP

Ok I think I get it fully now. Yeah, I only bought Almond Eyes because I could and that they were already at Vatel for a set price anyway. I bought CE for wings TBH.

Anyway, yeah, people should start thinking of why they really want their stuff now for 3 cents and not wait for it to lower in price.

It is a game, people are

It is a game, people are always willing to spend more in a game then they would in real life for the sole fact that its a game. Aside from that it is the very nature of MMOs that when something new comes out it is stupidly expensive until enough show up in the market to appease the demand. Low supply + high demand = high price. It is simple honestly.

Also... it happens in real life all the time. Christmas time the first year the Wii was out you couldn't find any in stores, but if you looked online you'd find people that were selling them... for over $1000 (for a $300 system), and they sold. Tickle Me Elmo, Furbies, the list goes on, but those are the ones I remember quickly.
