Hi everyone!
I recently just finished my Tier 2 set (with one 3* sword):
-Wolver Cap
-Magic Cloak
-Defender
-Tempered Calibur
I'm wondering which one I should upgrade next to be able to generate stable profit from T2 runs. I guess this could be a useful info for other new T2 characters out there as well, so let me rephrase it this way:
:::After reaching T2, what should our upgrade priorities be, and why?:::
(it's okay if you want to personalize the question and answer it with _your_ priorities, which I'm sure will come in good variety, depending on your playing style =D).
Also, I'm wondering about the difference in attack power between Ascended Calibur and Leviathan. On the wiki, it seems to me that a L10 Asc. Calibur would deal the same amount of damage (or perhaps very, very slightly less) as/than a Leviathan. I'm sure that can't be true (otherwise people wouldn't go through all those trouble to upgrade to 5*). Is there other factors involved beyond the AP bar indicator that determines the damage potential of certain weapons?
Anything you upgrade from this point will boost your survivability, and thus make your T2 runs that much easier. Some things to consider, tho:
- Upgrading your helm/armor will increase your max HP bonus (dependent on Heat lvl). Something like this
Wolver: +1HP (heat lv1), +2HP (heat lv5)
Dusker: +2HP (heat lv1), +3HP (heat lv5)
Ash Tail: +3HP (heat lv1), +4HP (heat lv5)
Vog Cub: +4HP (heat lv1), +5HP (heat lv5)
- Shielding is a great way to avoid a lot of damage, especially when it can't be avoided by dodging/hiding. Upgrading your shield would be a solid way to increase survivability.
- Due to the monsters in Tier 2 dealing a mix of normal and elemental damage (and rarely shadow), shield choice becomes a little more important. The Defender, while easier to craft than other shield lines, has Piercing defense which is largely undesirable at this point. Besides spike traps, only one type of monster deals piercing damage. The Owlite shield series is highly popular, due to decent HP and normal defense, as well as excellent elemental defense and two types of resistance to status effects. This isn't to say you *must* switch shield types - only that you may want to consider it now, before you invest and upgrade one line of gear and later decide you want to go for another.
Regarding your last question - as far as I can see on the wiki, there is a slight difference in damage between AC and Levi Blade (AC's bar ends halfway through the 'O', while LB's bar goes just past the 'R'), which I assume is based on lv1 Heat for both. Both will gain a small amount of damage when leveled to 10, and I would assume the damage of LB will be superior (however slightly) to that of AC. There has been discussion already on this topic, with players raising similar concerns. Unfortunately I can't provide any real confirmation.
