I initially started gunning for PvP but recently started doing it in PvE.

My current gunslinging gear and 5* guns consist of

Valiance (main PvP damage gun)
Argent Peacemaker
Blitz Needle
Sentenza (secondary PvP damage gun)
Storm Driver (shocks other player to give me an easier time, usually have this equpped)
Polaris (use it to hold points or get enemies off it)
Justifier Jacket
Nameless Hat

I'm thinking f getting a Callahan just for completions sake and to use against piercing weak (which I normally sword those levels, but whatever).

My PvE equipment will be:
Perfect Seerus
Justifier Jacket (simply because I don't want to spend on getting a Nameless Poncho :x)
Swiftstrike
2x Trueshot

Which will give me VH everything with level 10 guns. Is that setup viable? I'm a seasoned player adept at dodging and shield canceling blah blah blah.

I'm planning to get an Umbra because trying to gun a group of jellies with a Sentenza is a little tedious for me. Would I be a burden to myself and to teammates if I stick with Storm instead of getting a Nova due to lower base damage, or does the shok make up for it? I really only got it for PvP purposes.

valiance is not a good weapon at PvP, everyone wears normal defense and damage is not that great either.
If you said you utilize death mark recon, then you're better off shooting them with antigua since their defense on everything is zero.
Definitely get blitz needle for PvE, without blitz you're missing out the most dps gun.
Try out shadowtech and prismatech with ctr max (PvE), their charge is potentially the best damage gun based on its damage type.
Storm driver should be fine even the damage is a bit less.
Biohazard is the most fun weapon, only it's not really practical when you are in party with people rage swing their swords.
Polaris is bad for PvE. I hate it because it blinds people and throws monsters everywhere that everyone need to chase them back.
Shadowsun for max damage is good too.

On PvP setup, in my opinion, the cookie cutter build is shadowsun set + trueshot (max dmg), one 5* heart trinket, asi vh uv guns.

Hi there guildie!
I'd expect Bighondo and/or Tennis (2 very good LD gunners) to pop up sometime in this thread and put up a picture of Thisnameisinuse's (another great LD gunner) damage of 17k using Valiance, Umbra Driver and Polaris. I've played against him and he does use Valiance for most of the time.
And Storm driver out-dps Nova when you use it against large crowds of mobs clustered together.

I'd throw in a Shadowsun piece in leiu of Nameless for PvP, pierce and shadow swords seem to be the most prominent, and ASI isnt that great a stat in LD cause of the temp immunity a hit will trigger.

Also blitz is a poor DPS gun outside of FSC. It really is only good against trojans and vanaduke. For almost all your other piercing-weak monsters, Callahan is a much better option.

Also note your set gives ASI max, not VH.

One shotting a T3 gremlin healer, shield and all, in a party of four, and gremlins arent even weak to pierce. I would hesitate to call this weapon bad outside fsc.

Sometimes you get unlucky and several healers will get involved in the same aira in T3, and in my experience this is one of the few weapons that will flat out one shot stuff that can outheal a majority of other weapons.

Yes most will say its awkward or unsafe, but there are certain situations that its bursty charge is a lifesaver.

Ah forgot to list Blitz as one of the guns I had.

And really? Valiance is my favorite damage gun. I find that I get more kills with it because it messes up a Striker's attack, even more if they're shocked from my Storm, and it's the gun I use to break guardian shields. Might just be me though.

Not just you, valiance is a great gun for PvP. People just never try it out for themselves because they see it and say "blegh, normal damage".
