So in this game, there are many methods of making income. But, two of the most common methods are rolling UV's on weapons such as Sealed Swords, or opening Lockboxes. But, not only can these methods be profitable, but they can also be a risk because their rewards don't make up for the amount of money you put into the said method. So which one of these two methods overshadows the other, in terms of making a profit?
UV Rolling vs Opening Lockboxes: Which is better?
I think alt-crafting is probably the safest long-term way to make additional income.
You can vendor vanilla 2* crafts for 750 cr to recoup part of your costs (you can make slightly more by auctioning them, but I never have the patience), and almost any UV at all, no matter how ridiculous, will bring in more from the AH. As long as you control your costs well--mats, etc.--this is your safest long-term bet. I only roll UVs on equips I intend for personal use, but I have auctioned a few particularly lucky rolls that were worth more than the cost of making new gear/rerolling if necessary.
I used to make a good profit opening lockboxes--farming cr for ce, only opening on a full mist tank--but since the market was flooded with accessories after the rarities were rebalanced, it's big risk/big reward. I'd stick with alt crafting.
Random stuff:
Almost anything on a Sealed can be good so long it's not a low or a beast UV.
But lockboxes have plenty of colors for maid headbands and barrel bellys and many other accesories that dont pay off the box/key cost.
