She gave me a warning about in-game vulgar language
The Royal is back...... I now challenge Eud(the dev), since i want to know why she gave me a warning a couple weeks back
I swear do you want to get banned? You seem to want that very badly...
"I broke the ToS and they took action against me, can you believe it, how rude!!!!1!1!1"
This is you. This is how dumb you sound.
(if you read that in glados' voice, consider yourself e-high five bro fisted)
Actually I'm wondering about this too
I know the censor is in place for those that have it enabled, so even if I use vulgarities they will be censored. However, could I get banned for actually doing so?
@Neodasus
I doubt censored swearing will get you banned, probably just a warning.
Like shooting someone with a rubber bullet. You won't be in crap as deep as if you shot him with a real bullet.
@Nova-Royal: If by "Eud" you mean me, it wasn't; I don't monitor in-game activity. However, you got a warning because you evaded the swear filter (via strategic use of the * character) to cuss out another player. Foul language is a violation of the Spiral Knights Terms of Service. You break the rules, you run the risk of penalty.
To ask about a penalty in the future, please check in with the GMs instead of posting on the forums--you'll get a much quicker reply, and also the forum guidelines state that you should use that channel for questions about penalties.
@Neodasus: The swear filter isn't there to make it okay to swear in-game. Foul language is against the rules. Rather, the filter is there so that if someone happens to wander into a room where someone is breaking the Terms of Service, the effect is blunted. That said, there is a progression of penalties starting with a warning (as our friend the OP got), so you don't just get insta-permabanned for swearing.*
*Unless it's something truly, truly spectacular. But that is quite rare.
how do you spell "against forum rules" again?
