There were separate threads on this before. I suggest you use the search bar to look for existing threads first, otherwise there are other posters who would rage at you at the drop of a hat given half the chance.
Usually someone will come and help you first though. THEN the ragers catch up.
In any case, to answer your question, click 'Forum preferences' beside the search bar, click 'Edit', and choose a picture. Then click save.
EDIT: Sniped. Curses!

Someone's on active forum duty today, hm? Replied within 10 seconds of me posting.
First time I think I've actually been sniped, not counting super long posts with other active forumers raging on the same thread.

Well, I got on 15 or so minutes ago and I just love to refresh knowing that no-one had replied to this thread yet five minutes in.
Also known as, I knew there was a good chance of me sniping someone.
And being the nasty troll I am, I posted a quick reply.

This is not a place for things like this.
Problems with forums - a better place for this is technical support OR New Recruits if the problems are not related to forum functionality but to lack of knowledge of person who has the problem.
1. Click the "Forum Preferences" button near the search bar.
2. Click on the "Edit" button.
3. Select an Avatar.
4. Scroll down to the bottom and click "Save".
There ya go :)
