Thanks, that's actually what I figured, and he said 3K CE each was a huge rip off since 3500 CE = $10, so I should be getting a better rate than $10 in trade. Of course, I understand how virtual economies work (all virtual money loses value the moment it's bought), so I don't expect 3500 CE to = $10 (where OCH = $6), so I can revise my expectations easily.
I'll still take the cheapest offer in the next day or so. What am I supposed to do with all this CE and shadow keys when I stopped playing SK 6 months ago? Offers, please!
Side note: what a sad state for SK. I come back 6 months after Halloween to find the game has a paid add-on, and no other new content. Redressing the rest of the game into quests and missions is neat, but it's the same stratums we've seen a million times before. How stale this game has become. I just want to try OCH since that's actually new content. Everyone has wings now. It's not special. Tails, eyes, height mods, it's like OOO is trying to distract people from noticing they aren't adding actual playable content to the game. When you leave a game and come back 6 months later and it has no new content beyond a paid add-on, it's pretty clear how little focus they have on creating entertainment, and how much drive they have to squeeze every penny they can from the player base (maybe SEGA has something/everything to do with this though). Nick is very critical of games and games practices on his twitter account. Perhaps he should turn that critical eye on his own game.
Oh btw, I work in game development. I know what a team of 2 is capable of. I know what a team of 10 is capable of. I know what a team of 80 is capable of. I don't know what size the SK team is today, but if they even have 10 people full time, they're slow. Everyone says they love who they work with, everyone's great, everyone's amazing. I'm sure OOO would say the same, and that isn't a jab at anyone's abilities. Maybe they just need more programmers (which dev team couldn't use more programmers?).
I started SK over a year ago, at launch (not preview). FSC and Vanaduke existed. Guess which quest is still run by end-gamers? I definitely appreciate additions like the AH, training hall, new merchants, weapon rebalances, and so on. But from a content perspective, little has been added. Snarby should take about 1-2 weeks to code, 2 weeks for art. 1 more week for bug fixes. Sorry, really went too long on this tangent. I still respect the devs or I wouldn't be here. Just... hire people who actually work at a competitive pace? :)
Whoever said 3.5k for two is sorely mistaken. The going rate is 3k CE each at minimum. Just a tip.
