hmm
No one can really tell you about the work progress other than the dev's themselves.. though for sure it's coming futuristically, nobody knows exactly when the devs will release it (though on the next update would be nice :).

Strange as this may sound,
Strange as this may sound, I'm slightly hoping that they won't release it for another full week- if they release it right before Thanksgiving, the poor devs will be on the hook to fix any major bugs, right when they should be baking delicious pies.
But they do seem to be working on some very cool stuff! Added to that list, Cory previously mentioned that some fixes for graphics and performance were also in the queue... should be an exciting release.

They made mention of this in the most recent Announcement.
"We will be adding a prototype of our new competitive games feature called The Coliseum. Our first Coliseum game, Super Brawl will allow up to eight players to battle it out in a variety of arenas for crowns. Super Brawl does not cost energy to play. Please note that while still early, we want our players to get in on this as soon as possible, so we will be releasing it soon and continuing to build upon it with your feedback."
