It was a bug? I thought it was a purposely made nightmare XD...

Yup. This happened to me too & caught me off-guard with no pointy stick...
The deviltes keep getting promoted to overtimers, so deviltes keep getting spawned as if you had killed them...
They will keep spawning without limit.
This happened to me and I won. A guildie happened to join about this time and was in awe (while dead on the floor).
It can be beaten, you just have to avoid getting hit, corral them into a corner and kill them all in a vengeful flurry of furious blades. Keep potshotting the Battlepod with a gun while you're practicing not getting hit so you can do your blade work in peace.
At least you weren't stuck using only guns.
When it happened to me I was heating stuff... My weapons were a Warmaster Rocket Hammer (worthless for fiends), an Archeron (grey numbers here we come), and an AP (my 4th slot was a 3* hammer). This plus my BTS (no shadow or fire) made for a very unpleasant fight using a bloody Archeron...

It's funny how every other enemy in the game is nerfed to hell leaving Fiends in all their untouched asinine glory.
is that when they transform, the devilite is marked as "killed" and an overtimer spawns in place (and vice versa).
And seeing that a devilite has "died", the spawner lets another loose.
Not sure the lesson here is to kill the bloody machine as fast as possible, but that's is just pure murder. ._.

word from the other thread says the entire prestige mission is removed from rotation until further notice.
I've heard of that happening to other people, I think it might be a bug with the game thinking the devilites are "gone" when they are turned into overtimers and spawns more. Maybe contact in-game support?
