Novelty weapons and new UVs

So far I have only seen one weapon with a novel attack (sort of) and that is the Fang of Vog. There should be more silly yet functional or OP yet crippling weapons. Some new UVs would be awesome too.

My first idea is some kind of sword (or a UV) that is vampiric. For the UV, on a deathblow, the user gets 1% for low, 5% for med, 10% for high, and 15% for very high, of total damage dealt to the monster that was slain.

The sword would be a bit different: It has magical properties that suck life when used. When a successful blow is landed the sword siphons 1-2 ticks of health from the enemy; however, if no target is struck when the sword is swung the user loses 2-3 ticks of health.

A UV or sword that would be fun for lockdown: Confusion. The enemy would have the movement controls inverted for 2-5 seconds depending on the strength of the UV/ sword. The UV could be an increase in chance/duration as the UV increases in power. The sword could be similar to faust/gran faust except ALL attacks have a chance of inflicting status on the user.

Confetti sword: looks like some bizarre non-christmas colored candy cane. It has a charge attack similar to a caliber/snarble barb that tosses confetti, and stuns enemies for 2-3 seconds with a bright flash and the words "SURPRISE!"\

For armors: roll a health bonus UV 1-6 ticks extra for low-max.

On armors/shields: A helmet, armor, and shield that are covered in barbs/fire/electricity and have a similar probability as faust/gran faust to deal damage to attackers but with a slight chance to receive damage while attacking. For UVs rolled damage dealt to attackers 1%, 2.5%, 5%, 8%, 12%, 15% for low-max, and this UV cannot be on the same armor as the ranged counterpart. Gun and bomb damage excluded for attackers, melee only, but the wearer has a chance of receiving damage with any attack.

A helm/armor/shield set with a chance to deflect bullets to sender that causes reduced accuracy with guns (chance to miss a direct shot). For rolled UVs 1, 2.5, 5, 8, 12, 15% chance to deflect shots to sender, but UV cannot be on same armor piece as the melee counterpart.

For the pre-made equipments some sort of quest like Biscotti's cake quest would be awesome to unlock the novelty sets except the tokens should not be for sale.

If anybody else has some good suggestion bring 'em.

Because there were few guns

Because there were few guns mentioned, a confusions variation one seemed good. The gun has a slight chance to be "confused" (backfire on the user) and cause the movement inversion for 2-5 seconds.

Beyond overpowered

Keep in mind no equipment may be overpowered to be implemented.

Attempting healing weapons is instant suicide in this forum; if it heals you or a teammate somehow, it will not exist.

Not everyone uses WASD; the arrow keys and mouse are commonly used. A less obnoxious way to give a similar effect would be to turn their screen upside down; this weapon should not have any other statuses or effects other than having very little damage.

Imagine Nitronome spam by one person with max charge. Now imagine the confetti on the mission where you crash a Devilite office party before they lowered how much lag it caused. Now imagine those together; you are now playing at >10 frames per minute.

More health on equipment? No, make the health trinkets. Punk.

Curse is its own status. Faust line is the only weapon which may afflict it thus far for a reason.

Armor and shields are designed for defensive purposes. Unless the equipment at 5* has the defensive stats of 1*, this will never exist; attacking shields have already been attempted and were instantly hanged.

Boss/ enemy name for vampiric

Boss/ enemy name for vampiric weapon: Count Thwackula.

Also, the prize doesn't have to be a weapon. The prize could be a non-transferable ticket to put a UV on the weapon/armor. For example get a bloodlust UV for killing Count Thwackula and put the UV on whatever weapon you want.

Better yet, make it similar

Better yet, make it similar to the sanctuary in the shadow lair.

Stop now

This is getting worse.

Being able to attach the UV to a weapon of your choice is one thing, but the UV itself is already overpowered; being able to choose where it goes is also an issue. Imagine if I could choose a +4 charge UV, then slap it on my Barrage/Nitronome so I can have max charge on it without a demo suit.

Shadow Lair would/should never have weapons come from Sanctuary. This has already been addressed multiple times.

I see that you have a hard time envisioning anything outside of what was already afforded to you. The UV ticket was specifically for the novel/prize UVs from missions. I said something similar to the shadow lair's sanctuary; as a matter of fact it could be similar to the forge at the opening of OCH.

I realize that the posts are a little scattered, that is why it is called a brainstorm. Nobody invited you to damn the creative flow. Constructive criticism is welcome; let's build something that does work.

Either contribute or GTFO.

Pyrocraziac - Insert words here

"You are stupid and so are your children and their pet dog. I want a healing weapon so I should get it. I post constantly instead of updating the original post because you are stupid and smell bad and kick orphaned puppies. Mindlessly agree with everything everyone posts or never post in a thread which, by existing in this forum, is subject to criticism by other users."

Thanks for the drink, I can escort myself to the door.

Ignoring the flame war...

"The enemy would have the wasd controls inverted for 2-5 seconds depending on the strength of the UV/ sword"

What if they use a mouse?

Then the direction would be inverted. Try binding the "walk backwards" to a key. (its available through the options menu) That is pretty much what would occur if confusion was implemented.

If health bonus UV to armor

If health bonus UV to armor merits the name punk being thrown around. how about HoT. 1 tick of health over shorter and shorter intervals as the strength of the UV goes up.

The only two ideas i see here

The only two ideas i see here that are slightly plausable are the confetti swords and the confusion status. Everything else would pretty much not ever work. It's way to OP, and has very little drawbacks.

Thanks Hex for taking the

Thanks Hex for taking the time to give honest feedback.

I was only hoping to involve the community to bring up ways to introduce fun or goofy weapons or UVs.

Please add anything that comes to mind.
