Dear, OOO,

I love you. I love how you've made such a beautifully crafted game. I love how you love your game so much that you go to great lengths to keep it going. I love how you go through the hate and the slander to keep it free. I am not a free to player by choice. The only thing I want more than Divine Valkyrie Wings ( I could spend days looking at those babies), mountains of energy, to crush warmaster seerus, or the ability to carry a cute mew cat with me is to stay out of debt. I live exactly within my means. I get exactly enough to get by. I thank you so much for making this available to everyone. I see your updates as, not only insanely cute, a way to show that you care, not the opposite. I think you do the best you can to make this game the best it can be for everyone. Even people like me. I swear when I get spare money I'm gonna buy Operation crimson hammer as soon as possible. But for now I'll enjoy enjoy this game that you so graciously keep free.

Good job. You have expressed your honest opinion, which is exactly what the forums are for. Plus, these complaints are your own way of showing you care. You are disappointed that this game is not as it can be. But have no fear, there are more updates to come. You see the vast potential of this game. You are as loving parents that get after their children that do not live up to their potential.

I'm with the OP. I love Spiral Knights. Is it perfect? No. Do I like every patch? Not at all. Am I still a little miffed that OCH is Steam only, and that therefore my non-Steam guildies cannot play it with me? Yes. But, as a whole I like Spiral Knights, and I like the direction this takes us.

Even if I am still mad about new chaps getting free height modifiers that I payed 50k for. GrumblemumblegrumbleOHLOOKALOVEPUPPY

This means that OCH is offered only as $$$ purchase both on kongregate client (that is ignored since months by devs and GMs) and on official site webclient.

While on steam client, that is third party application, because of unknown reasons, OOO decided to allow Steam only players to be able to trade OCH with other players for CE/cr/anything they want.

This is ridiculous and completely insane that some silly third party app with SK client has more functionality (a very important on) than OFFICIAL SITE CLIENT.

If you read Gigglebytes post you would understand that she (or he) does not have the excess funds to be spent on luxuries, and is exceedingly appreciative of the fact that SK can be played entirely for free. As it appears, Gigglebytes would happily support OOOs were funding available to her (or him).

They might have looked at this situation and say "hmmm this doesn't make for a very good game experience. How can we make it better?" This is the idea they came up with. I am assuming you are a 2* wolver nub running around haven begging for crowns.

If you are an FTP 5* player and have some kind of real life, you won't find this game too fun anymore. You'll get so bored and used to all the levels farming crowns to make another set that you will wonder what you were thinking making this thread. You might be kissing OOO's butt now, but that won't last for long. Especially once you start with UVs...

i am actually 4* seraphic. And with my plans I have a long way to go. I plan on making a Valkyrie set, fallen set, elemental cloak set and pretty much gathering every set possible. This is going to be hours of fun :3

As an FTP player, those hours of "fun" eventually become tedious chores. OOO is attempting to make it harder for FTPers to make money without hard grinding.

Let's say you want to do JK; 30 mins for 6k crowns. (On average). Assuming CE is 6k per 100, that's gonna be

You're looking at about 7.5 hours for each piece of your Valkyrie set, 10 hours for each piece of your fallen set, and 10 hours for each piece in every other set. Plus 10 hours per shield. You're looking at at least 300 hours of level grinding. Farming the same 4 levels over and over again for 300 hours doesn't sound like fun to me. It would be faster if you could do FSC, but your choice of seraphic armor negates that. If you truly enjoy this game and feel like you will enjoy every minute of it, then more power to you.

Good luck on getting all the armor sets man :)

Well,

I still run FSC with my friends and eventually i will wear fallen which will get rid of that problem. Also, your above post is assuming I'm trying to get the sets as soon as possible. I want to have fun so, I'll probably throw in a day for lockdown, do rommy runs, or just sell stuff in the AH. I intend to enjoy it all.

This game is dead.

I've played this game for a long time, and it's terrible. Used to be great, but it's just not what it used to be. I hang onto this game with one last strand of hope that the company will wise up, and the community will get a brain for once. This is from someone who has played for a long time (on my other character) and has friends who participated in the beta.

OP is obviously a new player. Ignorance is bliss, enjoy your shallow illusion of "entertainment" because you're too blind to see the ugly truth about this game. The cancer that's been killing the gaming industry has made an enormous colony in this game, 0/10 not even mad and everyone's been trolled hard move along people.

Great post!

Although I have my frustrations (fiend stratums for one), I too love this game. It's like an addiction. The other gripe I have is a point brought up by Slayzz, the amount of time it takes to get 5 star gear. It's painful to think about. Therefore, I won't think about it. Instead, I'll enjoy the parts of the game that my 4 star gear is good for, and I'll craft all the 4 star stuff I can get my hands on. I have really enjoyed getting various different styles of swords and guns, like the Toxic Catalyzer I just got. I also got great pleasure out of beating the Roarmulous Twins solo in 4 star gear, without CE revives, on my fourth run (first run was with group, second was solo w/ce revives, third was in group, fourth was solo). It's fun to succeed.

@ No-Fun-Allowed: Grow up, get off this forum, and play a different game. Entertainment is in the eye of the beholder.

Bear in mind, I love the monster pockets! I wish I could afford one. Unfortunately I spent most of my crowns before the deal, so it would have been impossible to get without using real money (not worth real money, but man would I love to have a Love puppy monster pocket).

OOO; please give us some promotions that are not just for accessories. 50% off CE would be EXTREMELY tempting. 50% off elevator pass would be even more tempting.

Thanks for a great game!

p.s. I am P2P, but not for CE... it's just too expensive to justify.

@Signature haters: My response is posted above. Posting about attention seekers is simply drawing attention to yourself. All I'm gonna say.

@Mr.NoFun: Yes, I am relatively new, but don't take that to mean that I am new to MMOs. The last MMO I was on (Lego Universe) was shut down (T.T) and this is what I found to be a suitable replacement for that EXTREMELY fun game. Also, if you look around you can find my username (gigglebytes/igigglebytes and every so often thegigglebytes) in a lot a places. I am not new to this stuff and I feel that I can have my own of definition of fun without people telling me whats fun and whats not.

And finally, I think Yvanblo brings up some very good points.
