Off Pawn's rages, what can we do now? What is there now to control in the economy? (Stupid thread, but what do people think?)
There is still hope. Only UV market crashed... or did it?
New Economy Changes- What now?
Pretty much what Sodaaddict said.
eh, nobody's talking about this stuff in-game. There's no visible 'crash' that affects the daily goings of players in Haven.
Only the rich were/are complaining they've lost their exclusivity because they misvalued their investments (or shall I say, gambles).
Most of the complaints and concerns I've seen on the forums the past few days have been largely irrelevant to daily gameplay. Yeah, even the lockdown ones.
Seriously. I hop over to general discussion from Arsenal and it makes me feel mad. Not at OOO or SK, but the players. I kind of skimmed through the announcements to see development patterns, and it looks like we're in a phase where they're making it friendlier for newer players. If history's patterns continue, they'll eventually build up more features for existing/closer-to-endgame players.
Then I go back to the game, and other than people showing off their pets, it's as if the patch never happened and all this drama was in my head all along.
Serves those republicans right!
Well Seiran, when you think about it, what do gamer gamers ever want from gaming? Have you not seen that the T3 veteran players mostly do solo or two man runs? Almost no one does random partying & all players ever do is FSC for crown farming & log off for the day or some PvP content. Some even got angry & were having 2nd thoughts of SK when all these cute features came into the system. Honestly, how many of the players here even care for the lore? Gamers never care for these things.. story... act of selflessness.... unless there's something in it for them, arcade will remain quiet. Just like before that players just did basil runs in T3 & T3 was a completely dead tier because of it. (excluding FSC)
Arcade can be fun, 4 man hp is fun. Danger rooms, guys there's lots to do in SK. Bring out your inner imagination & creativity. Put a diaper in your head & forget profit for once.
Thanks for the timeline Seiran, this offers a great perspective of how SK devs are working their ass off to get some cool things into the game.
For me, this patch isn't going to change anything (well, apart from this cute mewkat). I mean, even with the patch, UV's are too expensive for even the average end-game player (I am one of those). I am happy enough with 1 average UV one the stuff I use the most.
What I really hope is that OOO is going to add some challenging content, because FSC farming for the sake of profitability is boring.
Well, to be exact, I really hope they will release a Shadow Lair infinite access as a DLC (or several, I don't care). I would be willing to pay a 6$ DLC for each DLC (yeah, EACH), as long as I can access it without thinking about the key cost each time. That way, that cool content could be used more than from time to time and would break the FSC farming routine.
As for being angry for new accessories or such, that's [silly]. Chances are it's not the same people doing those things and adding new content. Story is cool too. If you don't like it, skip it.
This is the way I see it.
The people who dumped a ton of money into multi-uv's are now gone. I'm at the level where I no longer need excessive help to do dungeons, so this is good for me. Also, easier lockdown matches, I guess.
It's now easier for me to get those multi-uv's. Although I personally won't spend many crowns on it.
This is a win-win situation for me. The only items are really affected are multi-max/vh uv'ed items. It'll only take ~20k ce or so to roll a double max/vh uv of your choice, so the price for these items falls from $300 to $50 or so. But what seems strange to me... is that people are complaining THAT SOMETHING IS NOW CHEAPER.
Think about it. In other games, where you have ridiculously expensive gacha/lotteries for limited edition items, people are constantly complaining that it costs dozens of dollars to get the useful item. When they rerelease those items, people complain, but it's accepted that you paid for the right to have these items early. I don't think I've ever seen any gaming forums flooded with so much butthurt over a price reduction.
It still costs an epic buttload of money to roll desirable triple max UV's on an item. Therefore, those items are still going to be expensive. The UV market has dipped quite a bit, but I wouldn't say it crashed.
As far as CE is concerned, it's going back up now, albeit slowly. The initial rush to use the new crown sink has abated, and soon CE prices will rise back up to ~6.8k
