i just realized they changed the antigua guns to pure dmg instead of split dmg. how do they compare to other guns of there respective dmg types? would either be a viable option for someone who only caries one gun?

yes

Antiguas are now the easiest single-target dps guns in the game.

+1 to Metagenic. Compared to

+1 to Metagenic.

Compared to alchemers, they deal more dps if you can't reliably hit with the ricochet. The threshold is probably somewhere between 25 and 50% ricochet which hit to have a higher dps with alchemers.

Very good, and very useful.

Since they don't do funny things with the damage numbers now, they don't feel like they're doing poor damage when they're doing decent damage, that's really the biggest difference aside from which enemies they are effective on.

Interestingly, from a purely neutral damage perspective, they are actually weaker now than before, but the med damage bonus at 5* and the fact that they're more versatile overall (where do you really find gremlins and beasts to use the old Sentenza effectively?) more than makes up for it.

Since they only did neutral damage to drones before, this actually means they do less damage to drones, but more damage to monsters that they're neutral too, since they aren't split with something that was weak against those monsters.

Complicated stuff, but in practical terms they are better now.

If you know how to work the ricochets on a alchemer, you can easily out-damage an antigua line.
But still, probably a better side-arm for a swordsman, as it's really easy to use and damages well.

sounds good. my current

sounds good.

my current loadout is:
silent nightblade
dark thorn blade
gigawatt pulsar

while i do thoroughly enjoy my pulsar, most other party members dont. its a great gun for solo but it can cause problems in a party. would silversix be better than pulsar? or would it be better to get an Ele sword and get blackhawk? or should i just keep what i have?

Either way is good. You have

Either way is good.

You have 2 swords, so you'll deal at least normal damage against everything. Pulsar is still good if you want to use it against turrets. If you want to use your gun more, then yes Silversix is going to be better, as its less annoying for teammates and easier to use.

Getting an ele sword is also a good thing to do, but why a blackhawk ? You should take a gun for what you have the most trouble with swords. Often, those are elemental weak/neutral targets. Unless you have trouble with gremlins.

You're on the right track

All of those options are good ones.

Definitely a decent idea to get something to use instead of the pulsar if you're worried about annoying your teammates (I too find the pulsar VERY obnoxious when it's not used right, or used too much.)

The Sentenza and AP are both very good. If you're curious how it works, you already have an elemental gun for turrets, so getting the shadow antigua might give you a more well-rounded arsenal, but Fradow is correct that you might get more use overall from the elemental path (assuming that you want something for turrets mainly.)

I find the Blackhawk (don't

I find the Blackhawk (don't have the Sentenza yet) very useful for focus-fire on Gremlin menders, and the Silversix clears Graveyards with ease. I can't wait to get their 5* incarnations.

On that note, does the damage bonus affect mender shields? Just a curious question.
