After seeing Costri's post "Duel", I decided that I'd finally put out my idea that I've personally wanted. Now, I know this idea has been discussed, so please just listen, but I believe this idea can work really well actually.
Details:
First Type: Duel
-This would consist of 2 players (random)
-The 2 players would appear in an arena, similar looking to a boxing ring
-Neither player would have their shield, obviously
-A countdown goes from 3, 2, 1, GO and then they fight
-It's best 2 out of 3

Second Type: Arena
-This consists of 4 players
-2 Players would appear in the arena, while 2 spectate
-2 players would duel, same as the first type
-The next 2 will fight while the first 2 spectate
-Then, the winners of the 2 duels appear in the arena and duel while the other 2 spectate
-The winner of the final fight wins crowns, more than in "Duel", due to more players

Arena is an idea so that you may watch people go at it, almost like entertainment when not fighting.

The problem on 1x1 in this

The problem on 1x1 in this game is that it ends way too fast without vitapods. Without shields it would end even faster.
To make it interesting, I'd suggest a +50hp vitapod; without a significant hp increase, dueling would be pointless and partially based on luck.

Blue-Phaze has a point. Imagine facing a Polaris with no shield and no LD class mods. It would be a nightmare. Being one-shotted by a brandish charge would not be fun either.

Good idea. The 50+ HP Vitapod would be a good idea. Maybe you can choose to add rules to it, like "No Swords" or "No Shield" or "Lockdown Shields" or "No Expansion Content". They could even have a large drop-down list, sorted by damage type and star level, of specific weapons you want to ban. If both duelists agree to the rules, they can start.

Love this idea.
