You know what? I give up. Im gonna abandon my other fanfic, Rise from the Ashes, and just do this story. Oh well... Enjoy, i guess?

Prologue

Video journal entry 1

Hey there. My name is Mark. No doubt, by the time you've read this journal, you will have heard of a knight named Kodokuna. And you might also know of a knight named Satoshi. Im guessing that Satoshi is now a lieutenant for the Order, but I have no idea what Kodokuna will be by the time youve seen this journal. For me, he was too much of a rogue, too mysterious. I am not sure how those two became who they are now, but this should help you draw a conclusion. Yep. This video journal is supposed to set things straight. Well, first things first. Kodokuna and Satoshi Nagesha are my children. Yeah, shocker right? Well, i didnt know exactly what Satoshi would grow up to be, but Koda... *sigh*. He was even more unpredictable. Again, too mysterious, too much of a rebel. In fact, he almost got us killed by Almire once just because he had fought with one of their soldiers.

That was his first fight, but it definitely will not be his last.

Even as a baby, Koda was trouble. In fact, on the day he was born, he would NOT stop crying. And when i tried to shut him up eith a pacifier, he punched me. Oh yes, even then I loved him, but even then i knew he was a troubled boy. Of course, I hadnt sensed the darkness in his heart... But i did know he was a... A bit stoic, i guess would be the right word. Or angry? I dont know.

But i do know one thing, whichever word used to fit him, it doesnt now.

Oh yeah, but even THAT is an understatement.

This is Seerusly getting out of hand. You need to focus on ONE fic at a time, otherwise you're not going anywhere with any of them...

I agree with Frosty.

Why did you give up on your other fics? I mean, it was a trilogy, and you just abandoned it. Also, I notice you're focusing more on this Koda character, despite him only being in the sequel and prequel to the Battle for Haven (which are all still unfinished). I'd say you're giving him more screentime than the main characters at this stage. I assume this has something to do with your being away on vacation and whatever afterwards, but still. I'm just saying, you might want to give this some thought.

@Frost and Scamal: Eh, the first part of this is about Koda, and the second part is the other stuff. Also, didnt ever really have many antagonists, so that is why im going on him. There. In like 2 chapters ill go back to the real story. This is just a prologue.

Chapter 1

Chapter 1: The squad

Tsuna Sawada glanced awkwardly at the tape. He fidgeted inside of his Skolver Coat and Valkyrie helm , rubbed his

orange eyes, and looked at his teammates. To his left was Blue, the medic and his best friend. She wore a Seraphic set and held her

Leviathan in her hand while her Heavy Plate shield lay gleaming on the floor. Striker, the guardian, stood behind her, swinging his

fiery Divine Avenger about and showing off his Vog gear. Ace, the quick-hitter, was preoccupied with a video game, a cookie, and

some Ramen. Angela, the all-around of the squad, stood right by Blue and and Tsuna, looking intently at the tape. She had changed

out of her usual tailed helm and now wore a black chapeau over her Ash Tail set. The newest addition to the team, a young boy

named Sam, sat right by Ace, fiddling with his array of bombs. He had once been on the streets, juggling bombs and doing stunts for

crowns, he was so weak and poor. Until the Nova squad, Tsuna's team, got him. He was an excellent bomber, and now a Nitronome,

Graviton Vortex, Voltaic Tempest, and countless others rested on his belt. He wore the full Volcanic Demo set with a red com unit.

Tsuna gave a quick nod to Angela and Blue, put the tape recorder in the box, then turned it on.

[Yeah so, its me, Mark. Sorry if it took too long for me to make this edition of the recording (not that you'd notice) but I'm on the run. This is a quick little entry, but here goes. It was a rainy, cold, horrible day. Koda, Satoshi and I were about to-]

Suddenly the audio cut off and a pure black thunderstorm appeared overhead, crackling with electric power. It poured and poured

gallons of water, making it a very bad day for the squad.Ace sighed, his video game just got wet. "I hate rain, why is it so wet? Now i

have to start from Level 1 again..." then he reset the game and kept playing, grumbling and oblivious to the deluge around him.

Tsuna stared right up at the gargantuan cloud and saw a dark figure, black as night, descending from it. He facepalmed himself and

bellowed "KNIGHTS! WEAPONS AT THE READY!" Ace snapped out of his game and drew his Final Flourish, while Sam was juggling

some bombs, ready to throw them. The dark lightning struck from above, leaving a gaping hole of a crater in the earth. Tsuna gritted

his teeth in his mouth, ready to attack. Then the barrage of purple tendrils burst at him, and he passed out.

Chapter 2

(told from Tsuna's viewpoint)

All my friends lay broken, bleeding on the ground. My sword is broken and my gun's nozzle twisted into who knows what kind of

shape, and im feeling an unbelievable agony in my chest, as if some one was slowly roasting my insides. The pain is so intense that I

can not even summon enough strength to scream. Slowly, i rise to my feet, but my legs feel about as sturdy as a dead jelly cube. My

arms feel like someone is stabbing them in a quick succession. I look up to see a young man dressed in a fallen helm and Shadowsun

Slicker. He smirks at me, his blazing red eyes burning with malice. He makes his hand into the shape of a snake's head, and i curse

myself. Of course... Shi No Tatchi... The "Death Touch". That's what's inflicting this pain. The words feel like Jelly Gems, sticky and

almost impossible to get out of my mouth, but they do come out. "Who... Who are you..." He frowns at me and places his palm on my

chest, then thrusts his other hand straight at my stomach. He raises his sword, a 4 foot long blade of pure Skiä steel, the most

dangerous shadow material in the world. Just as he's about to strike, a horn's trumpet fills the air. The last thought i can form is 'What

the heck just happened?' and I faint.

I'm in a small, stainless room with white walls now. I can barely move my neck, but i twist it to the sides and I see them. Striker,

Ace, Blue, Angela, and Sam, all of them lying on white stretchers, covered in bandages. I cough lightly and sit up, as much as it pains

me. I stare at the tube that's been inserted into my lower leg and sluggishly pull it out. Then i suddenly become sleepy and lie back

down to nap. Really, i do not know what's going on...
