I certainly think so! As you can't tell, my laptop's touchpad refuses to move while holding down keys, so playing with either of those is just not a possibility on my end.

Though, when I saw it would recognize gamepads, I had hope...

So I stuck in a PS3 controller (Third party, mind you, came with its own drivers) and VOILA! SK was quite playable.

From beginning to now, I've played with no less than a gamepad.

But I'm wondering: Do you think gamepads of any kinds work with SK, and if so, what do you use to play SK with?

Any gamepad should generally

Any gamepad should generally work, personally I've used my Dual Shock 2 but as I'm a heavy gun I don't play on my gamepad but it got the job done with swords/bombing.

I use a plain ole' Macbook

I use a plain ole' Macbook with the touchpad.
I have it so it's the mouse (to point my direction) and then I click down to strike. I don't usually have a problem with this. However, if something goes wrong, I have action set on another key just in case. For the most part I just use the standard, original, format. Also, I don't see a gamepad having any problem with SK.

I use a logitech F310, it definitely makes SK more enjoyable.

It makes the game easier, for one thing. At least for me, anyways.

Just have the controller

Just have the controller plugged in BEFORE you start the application.

lol

I used a DS as a controller. I found myself dying a lot.
Went back to the mouse and keyboard.

As long as you have dual

As long as you have dual analog, I think it should be fine. But you can't type with a controller, and so many losers disable or otherwise can't hear voice chat.
