Do any items besides the vials inflict curse upon enemies?
It seems relatively pointless anyway, since it's effect would require you being hit.
I'll put the part about poison reducing attack damage up there, though.

yes, certain weapons, like gran faust can inflict curse, and i think that there was a bomb that added a curse effect, but not sure if it exists anymore at this point.
Gran Faust inflicted curse upon yourself.
That's why you had to wear the angelic armor when you used it.
I can just block fire status damage with my shield. Though I do have a Emberbreak shield.
Statuses go through shields, it's been confirmed.
Well, then I must have glitched. Because I did block a fire status yesterday. I'll have to try it again next time I get the chance to be caught on fire and not die.
I do believe in blocking fire status. I do, I do.
Edit: Yeah. I just did it again.
This man speaks truth, if you shield, when the fire damage ticks, it does no damage.
Maybe. I've followed your guide an bought Fire Resist, so I don't know if you can do the same without fire resist.
I'm probably going to switch for Stun+Shock Resist, since there's a particular level full of big goblins that murders me.
Well let me put it like this, with the firebreak shields fire resistance, I don't even need to block to take no damage from fire.
So it's the fire resistance blocking the damage, or just seriously reducing it.
I block fire ticks with my Swiftstrike Buckler every time I contract the status. I can vouch for the capability of blocking fire.
Well you can block the damage, but not the status itself.
Without fire resistance and if something is attacking you, that shield will run out fairly quickly leaving you on fire and getting attacked.
I just tested this out now that I have a shield that doesn't have Fire Resistance and while you can block it, 5 seconds of fire will send you to yellow shields.
I need to stop surfing the forums at 5 am in the morning after a 10 hours shift. That is was I was trying to say Shoebox. I simply failed to say so.
Point still remains though, blocking the damage stops you from dealing any and could potentially break your shields.
It's safer to have the Fire Resistance.
Just one little addition: Poison reduces attack damage, in addition to blocking healing. You also forgot Curse (which causes damage each time the affected person tries to attack).
