When I get the tokens, I am considering getting one. However, I already have a DA, and am not so sure about the idea of having 2 elemental swords. I mean, the fire is nice and all but I wasn't sure.
Fang of Vog?
Yeah FoV is a trophy more than a tool.
Get the shield first, if you don't have it already. Then get the sword. The Ancients are nice costumes but impractical except in t1/2.
This is a very frequently asked question. Search the forums, to find multiple threads started by people wondering whether FoV is "worth it".
But here's my two cents on the FoV.
It's slow and weak. Chance of fire on normal attacks is simply not worth it.
Charge can and WILL immolate anything unlucky enough to be caught in its radius.
If you're excellent at maneuvering and don't mind taking a small amount of fire damage in exchange for the greatest nuke damage in the game, go for it.
Agree with above. The regular attack is useless (almost never swing it except on accident) but the charge is awesome.
You need to have 7 or so points of fire resistance (so a High UV + some armor with fire max at 5*) to make the charge really usable (as in charge spam-able) all the way to D28. If you play with me, you'd see what I mean. I use the thing pretty much constantly until I'm down to no health, but I rip through monsters at an incredible rate especially when my friends drop vortex bombs to group everyone together.
One of the best things about the charge attack is that I can take out both trojans at the same time when they spawn at the end of FSC D27 (party of 2 with max damage bonus). I don't think any other weapon can pull off such a feat.
TL;DR - to make FoV worth it you need:
1) lots of fire resistance
2) not care if you die a lot or constantly have low health
3) teammates who will rev you
4) an alternative sword for regular swings
Stand in the middle of a Vortex going off with a FoV charged.
Greatest feeling ever.
If you're not in the middle, save time and health with Brand charges.
depends. DA= the best elemental weapon in game, FoV= very, very easy way to show off how badass you are. (one of my friends uses all 4 slots filled with FoV's.) if you feel happy with your gear, and want to cross over into becoming a fashionista, and not somebody who acually plays to get better gear.

NEVER, EVER attempt to tame a gremlin healer, you might just be healed to death

FoV is the Pumpkin King killer.
Stand next to him and release the charge a moment after he says "Trick" for free candy.
Until you feel pretty comfortable with your current gear, stick with DA. FoV has a fun charge, but that's where the utility ends.
