If I buy a Sword from the AH with a CTR: Medium, and finish it to level 10, AND use a Elite Sword Focus Module, does that mean my sword gets CTR: Maximum! ?
And can I have a rough price check of how much a CTR: Medium or VH Divine Avenger should cost?

It should do...
Well, I'm not sure how the armour UV system works, but for weapons it is like this:
1point=Low
2points=Med
3=High
4=V.High
5=Ultra
6=Max!
They stack up. Thus, CTR Med on the sword = 2points, plus another CTR Med from full heat, making 4 points total. Add an Elite Sword Focus module to give another 2 points, making 6 points overall and thus CTR: Max!
You can do a similar thing with bombs - this will make CTR Max on the bomb, plus Mad Bomber to get V. High Damage increase, plus an Elite Bomb Damage trinket leads to MAX CTR and MAX Damage, thus leading to the ultimate bomber.

The price check is simple
if you're buying it as an SS, which you really should.
CTR Med is under 2k CE.
CTR VH is quite expensive, but less so than it used to be. Right now, about 17k CE or under.
Full disclosure: I happen to be selling both swords, and would be happy to sell them to you.

inspect yourself, and on the bottom of the inspect screen, look at the helmet and weapons signs.
those are the stats of how much protection your curret set is giving and your weapons stats too (with asi/dmg bonuses/wahtever included)
