So what do people think of the new vitapods?

I like it. It was too easy to get max health before.

Also, I enjoy the new armour bonuses.

In the lobby picking up the +3 Vitapod fills out my health. In the Clockworks, the first enemy I kill drips a +6 Vitapod, but gives me three more empty health bars instead of giving filled health bars like the lobby one.

Not sure if this is bug or intentional.

Without any pods, I have 12 bars

Seems to me the other kinds of Vitapod will be put into retirement now.

That's intentional. Honestly

That's intentional.

Honestly I'd rather if the party lobby vitapods didn't fill your health, for the sake of consistency (and so people don't think it's broken like you just did).

Alrighty then, good to know

Alrighty then, good to know

Actually makes sense, otherwise you could swap pods to fill your health

Yes please do let us know how

Yes please do let us know how these new Vitapods work for you.

This was partially intended to spread out the health more evenly among party members, rather than have that one greedy guy grab them all.

They do seem too frequent to me right now.
Also you should be able to walk through them, I've had a few cases of getting kinda trapped by them.
I also find that the number is a bit fuzzy to read in the heat of battle.
And sometimes grass and other objects will hide that number making it a bit of a hassle.

They're a new addition this way so it's expected to need some fine tuning, please do help us with that!

Turn them into health grabs

Turn them into health grabs like before please, they are just death traps when you are fighting.

Either that or make them expire somehow.... they are cluttering the place and make you pick them up when you are trying to attack, also less drops of those and make the mobs drops a bit more useful loot.

I just picked up a +18

I just picked up a +18 vitapod, how high to these go!? The drop rate does seem a bit high, it feels like every thrid or fourth monster drops one

Making "pick up/action" a

Making "pick up/action" a seperate button from "attack" would solve the issue of vitapods, keys, minerals, and dead allies getting in the way during battle.

Is there any reason why you

Is there any reason why you would want to swap for a lower number? Why not just automatically pick up anything higher than what you have equipped?

They also block projectiles, so you can't shoot things that are behind them, which is a problem in a combat area.

Picking up a lower one could

Picking up a lower one could be good for swapping it in a party. Auto-pick ups would give you the same problem you have now with all the health-related things. People jump straight on them and forget to check who actually needs it.

i would rather..

if we could simply deliver a charged sword attack at the vitapods, and it would be destroyed, leaving back an amount that could vary from vita value -1 to vita value +1 of hearts, so we can make an use of those now useless vitapods with lower amounts. Before, even if you were maxed the vitapods had their use, as they did recovered your health , after all. Having a way to break it to recover health instead of upgrading your max would top up with this lack of use for them, mainly because they are droping like blood from an open wound (remember, monsters, killing, khorovod in your head).

i would say half fixed

yes, now we don't need to fight away from them, so we don't lift one for mistake. But, still, evene they significantly upgrading the heart drops....i would love to see the hability of breaking open a vitapod to drop hearts and money (megaman zx, if no one played).

Nah I'm against slashing up vitapods. If you're doing multiplayer, you don't want the greedy person to smash up a vitapod that another player could perfectly use...

Vitapods drops too often and

Vitapods drops too often and give too much health. When I partied with my friends we all had max health by about the middle of our playing. Max health should be rare and reserved mainly for boss fights like lord vanaduke. Being able to get max health via vitapods makes any health bonus from armor pointless. I get +3 health from equipment but when you get a +18 health vitapod like I did it makes that +3 bonus from armor useless. I think the max a normal vitapod should give is +10 health, and those should be pretty rare.

Kojiden- By max out do you

Kojiden- By max out do you mean 40 health cells? We made a change a couple days ago that allows you to go beyond the previous max health of 20 cells to 40.

Did you? I played the other

Did you? I played the other day and I swear it only let us go to the normal 20. I'll have to play again later today when my friends get on.

Why is there any

Why is there any max?

Seriously. Lets say you have the largest vitapod being +18. Fine.

If someone has several +3 health equipments, they won't have some other equipment.

Why any health max now?

You cannot get arbitrarily high health. In the past, if you ran a party that picked up 18 vitapods, then you had 5 per person, plus 18, plus whatever the equipment was, spread around. Not much of a bonus for grouping.

Now? Since only the first +18 has any value for a soloer, being in a group makes a big difference. Now a soloer might be 5+18, and a group might be 4*(5+18) -- the group has much more health to work with.

You wanted the ability to make raid content? You've got the ability to make something much nastier than anything prior could handle.

If I've got healthiest possible armor? Sure, I can last longer for the hits, but I'll probably take more damage when it does come in. Clip my max health, and why bother with +health armor at all?

Used to be: You could keep picking up vitapods without limit, so a limit had to be put in. Hence, the omega pods had meaning.
Now? Limit is the largest vitapod, plus equipment tradeoffs. You can't get arbitrarily high, and the only way to get more than so-much health is to group up.

I'm playing below Emberlight

I'm playing below Emberlight right now (omg shield gremlins murder us). Anyways my friend has a native health of 9. She has a +12 vitapod. And she only has 20 life. So I'm not sure how you're getting 40 Mr. Dev guy unless you're counting half a life as a life which is incorrect.

Edit: Apparently it seems the health over 20 overlays the current health, which makes things very confusing. It looks like people have 20 health.

Edit 2: Also it seemed that vitapods dropped like candy below Moorcraft. Below Emberlight they seem to drop less often which is good.

Hm

I think it would be cool if you could save a spare pod. In case someone joins the party late or something.

Here's something I don't like

Here's something I don't like about the new vitapods:

Previously, if you spent 3 energy to open a door, you got a +1 to your health (if it was there).

Now, you get a vitapod that is maybe a little more than normal, but not much, and will be obsolete in a few floors.

What I'd like to see: Both these new +max pods that depend on depth, and a few +1's that you pick up in special locations, such as behind energy doors.
