OOO for the love of cradle stop making this game so damn easy.

Hello. I'm Coatl. I've been playing been playing this game for a while now, not quite as early as closed beta but I managed to make a debut in open beta.
What I've noticed patch after patch that slowly, but surely, SK is turning into some mindless hack-n'-slash when facing unbelievably nerfed enemies.
One that you guys are particularly aware of are the Alpha Wolvers.
Before an unwarranted patch these suckers use to chase you with 3 lunging bites and if you tried to block all of the chomps, your shield would break on the second or third bite and you may or may not have taken a direct chomp with your shield shattered.
After the patch the Alpha wolvers are as threeatening as scuttle-bots. They don't fallow you anymore with their bites, so you could easily jump to the side and continue slashing at them with your toothpics (which we didn't have before either). Sometimes I even play chicken with them and parry to their sides at the last moment to give myself a sense of accomplishment in fighting alpha wolvers; sometimes it works, it usually doesn't though. I feel as if the whole Beast family (which only comprises of wolvers and chromalisksz) are not even something to take seriously. They are too easy to be taken seriously. You never see someone in the forums going, "damn wolvers made my whole team wipe", or "wolvers are too hard QQ". No. On the contrary, they are too easy to ever be mentioned in the forums. You simply slaughter them, and not a word of them gets mentioned afterwards.
Another thing is menders. They are MORE of a joke now than they were before. They won't provide a challenge for you, if anything they will just make things take longer but it isn't exactly harder per say. The only time they will ever be on the challenging side is when twenty mecha knights/greavers/devilites spawn in one small room (I'm talking about the arenas) and you are faced with a dilemna in which you both have to kill them fast enough before the rest of the monsters kill you. But besides situations like these, menders are just a monster that can't defend itself from your disinterested cuts and slashes.
And now we have retrodes being nerfed. As if they weren't nerfed enough. They were patched so that their long-fire laser blast takes longer to release after the initial beam. Unless you are not paying attention to the screen, you won't get hit by these often seeing as how they take too long and are too predictable. Retrodes are just about as easy as the slags in FSC; they're as slow as slow can be. This HP buff just makes me frown a bit, after seeing all the enemies that have been nerfed.
What's next OOO?
You going to nerf trojans?
How about the rocket puppies? Will they fire in a straight trajectory next?
For senior members who have reached tier 3 and have nearly all the weapons/sets they would want, the challenge provided to us is the only thing that keeps us going. I'd personally like to see OOO stop nerfing enemies and if possible start buffing a lot of them.
TL;DR
omg dis gaem 2 ez QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ

+1
Undo all those monster nerfs. Other than the Retrode laser slowdown. Hate it when they shoot me the instant they spawm. ._.

Just saw the New arenas thread.
Feeling pretty sad face.

What about the Gun Puppy 360 sight? Used to be only front, now both sides. It's nasty (arenas are such a pain :/), but having only front sight would make killing them too easy.

Them having 360 sight does making them harder. Not all the monster changes were bad.
For example, Jellies were given spikes and pierce damage. That I am ok with.

They have to cater to the noobs who are the vast majority :/

Really? First the Retrodes, Zombies, Gremlins and Wolvers and now this?

A 10-15% sword nerf would have been more fitting than a gun buff.
A bomb buff was absolutely needed.

nerfing them monsters too much = nerfing my excitement. that's what i think too. :/

do whatever.
make a T4 that is super tough..requires aromr/weapon specific/uv adjusted, gear. t4. leads to core (eventually). requires perfect gear. let the T1-T3 be whatever. T4 is where difficulty requirers a considerable effort.
#hashtag thought this out better in previous threads.

Yes.
Especially, buff the Beast family back to original state.
Right now the only family that's really terrifying on it's own is Fiend.
Gun buff amazing minus two guns. Sword nerf bad. Wolvers need to be somewhere between where they were and where they are, same with retrodes. Zombies need to not damage you before their jumps land on you, but rather as they land on you. Jellies need to track SLIGHTLY less.

And if 6* weapons are introduced make it a proper pain in the ass to get some rare mats and FFS leave the new 6* recipies out of HoH, make them RARE! Plan ahead and ensure some longevity. I dont want to see Joe Blow from < so-and-so > standing in town square in full 6* 3 hours after the parch drops because of sheer buying power.

Make it like using T3 gear except T3 gear is as powerful as T2 gear in T3 so people stop raeging and can feel the challenge
People complaining about easy go play another game/use proto EVERYTHING in shadow lair / FSC
No seriously though. I is noob and I still get hit because one bar omgasiasux

Yeah, because that's the answer to everyone who complains about SK being too easy.
"Do the same dungeon in protogear hurr hurr."
The point of an mmo is to utilize better and better equipment, but with that comes even more challenging enemies.
The latter is whatOOO isn't providing. Take for example the new arenas. I think it would be fine if they added the same number of enemies as regular arenas have. But only about 6-7 monsters spawn at a time and it really just gets boring throwing them around with your sword wishing it could be harder.

If I may add on, many people HAVE been doing this and have finished soloing the Shadow Lairs. Tell me when you buy your way to that.

Add ponies.
You will die, either of cuted-out-ness, freaked-out-ness or just ZOMGLEAVEMEALONAGHPONIES Oo-ness.
Ok seriously, if you want a challenge, care to take a look at this?: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/49662
I created it just FOR it's difficulty, but I think people found the wall of text to difficult.

Nerf that Wall of Text NAOW!
FAKE EDIT~ Since the wall was nerfed, all it does is act like a paragraph, and it's points don't even leap out at the reader anymore. It's bland, and very Times New Roman. I think I totally regret what I did.

If you're saying what I think you are, I'll give it a shot, but I'm not very good with those other formatting things...
EDIT: I THINK I managed it.

+1 to all of that
Stop with those stupid nerfs, changing the game to to shuttlebot fest

@Psychodestroyer
I wasn't sure if it would be necro-ing if I posted in the thread after necro-ing it. I do like the idea of a one-time daily ultimate difficult mission. The only thing I am skeptical about is the 50 energy required to join and the large payout. If you take away the energy needed to use the daily, it would not be intimidating from new F2P players to try it once a day. If they fail, that'd be 50 energy down the drain. But if there was no energy cost, then they would just lose the chance to do it again that day. If it doesn't cost energy, the mission reward should not be translated into cr. We would already make Cr from the monsters which spawn in the daily mission. Maybe receiving prestige points would be better? I don't know. I do like this idea though.
I think the Spiral Knights community is one of the few mmo community that actively engage in group-think. But unfortunately the sad reality is that very seldom will the producers implement our ideas. It is easy for them to make adjustments to these new arenas, but they are a small team and for them to conjure what you described would take a lot of resource.

I don't mind the necro. My possible bias aside, I don't think others will mind either.
Honestly, I can't believe I slipped up on that point about it's cost you brought up. I'll remove that.
Silly me >.<

I just made it somewhat more visually appealing.
...
I THINK.

Well I didn't say it was wrong it's just my feedback. >.>

Your feedback was appreciated. I didn't consider that fact, for whatever reason. Now I feel a little silly for missing it.
Actually, I think DID consider it. But I DO think I was a little hard on that, because my reasoning at the time was: no cost=nothing to lose. Just do it until you get it right.
I didn't factor in possible revives, or time wasted.
So now I feel silly and mean Q.Q
Psssst... you should look at the new arenas thread. Or maybe not, you will rage even more. And +1 to your rant.
