I was waiting for people starting to spam in this game, but finally it happens and the spam is just ridiculous.
People sent their message every 5 seconds, so fast. How can you trade or talk like that?
There needs to be specific channels, auction house or something, cuz this is frickin crazy.
Spamming
The Trade chats weren't linked before, they were seperate for each Haven. Now they are all one, and you have 10 or 15 haverloads of people trying in vain to advertise their goods on a channel that sometimes got busy with ONE haven's worth of people.
There's a lot of threads about this already, including one with more constructive discussion. Check those threads first.
Dont really care how many, just filing a complaint, which hopefully the producers see.
Just posted this in the bazaar, but here's a temp solution
So Trade is useless cause of the amount of people trying to sell/buy/craft and it's linked across all havens
Seeing as players can't create channels, here's what I propose
/2 [[[ PLEASE READ ]]] - Trade is shared/spammy/useless - Use /1 in the following havens instead - Haven - 2 & 3 Buying/Selling Crafting Services, Haven - 4 & 5 Buying/Selling Recipes, Haven - 6 & 7 Buying/Selling Mats
Haven - 2 & 3 Buying/Selling Crafting Services
Haven - 4 & 5 Buying/Selling Recipes
Haven - 6 & 7 Buying/Selling Mats
If you think it's a fairly good idea, spread the word until we get an Auction house or have a way to have seperate channels
For the love of god please return trade chat back to each respective Haven. This is your bottleneck to prevent spam messages and allow buyers and sellers in a chat form to conduct business.
At least until you get an auction house feature.
Agreed, and then just use havens for designated purposes, but until that happens I think my suggestion is a decent working around
Disengaging the Trade chats isn't the answer. A global trade chat is good for consumers, increases competition to lower prices of items. It should have started out as global. The PROBLEM is since it didn't start out as global people got into the habit of going to Haven 1, sending a trade message, going to Haven 2, trade, Haven 3, trade, haven 4, trade, etc and they have not been broken of this habit yet. This is where most of the spam is coming in. If it were just your average annoying idiots then /mute would fix the problem, but its not. It's legitimate merchants trying to do legitimate business caught unaware by the update.
There is a specific trade channel that you probably have not opted out of. Simply type "/leave trade" and you should no longer see many of those messages.
