Yeah, i'm making an "OOO Love" thread lol

I did want to express to Nick and the gang that I for one am grateful for the things you guys do! I just wish people were more patient and grateful these days instead of the "instant gratification - give me now - i deserve everything FREE - i hate this game, but sill hang around to spit hate" mentality many people have.

I joined SK back last April and have been playing solid since then. This game has provided hours of fun and I did create a new knight just to be able to play the new mission and it was worth it! Simple and plain, but worth it!

The updates are great! OOO/Sega do need to make money somehow, and i am ok with that! I have paid to play and am proud to say that I have supported these guys in this game.

Keep up the good work OOO and dont pay attention to the haters out there.... They are few and divided :) but sadly, make up 80% of the forum lol....

Looking forward to what SK will have in the future!

I like to show support to a game I love and an admin team that really does pay attention to their userbase. :D

This is easily one of my favorite games ever (despite dwindling playtimes on my end, working and class with terrible internet are the worst combination for gaming!) and after a lot of hate directed your way, I'm sure it's nice to hear something like this from your fans.

Love the work you guys do. Been around since day one of your official release, so just over a year now. You're awesome.

Aumir - You get to thank them for making a game that you apparently enjoy enough to continue playing. Spending their time and energy on something that you use to unwind. This game is their job while we play it after we're done with ours.

Just because you personally don't agree with a few updates does not mean that they don't deserve any praise at all. (And did they not say they were going to do more with prestige? This stuff takes time, bro. Calm down, let it happen. They have a lot on their plates and have said SEVERAL times that they are a small team doing things here and there constantly. They don't have a dedicated prestige bonus team.)

Yeah, I know. It is just that "potential" issue. We are just getting worked up because OOO is centering so much in "looks" and "new players", not actual "meat" to the game. Free meat.

I may come as aggressive sometimes, but I actually like this game as you say, you are right. People say that new content is nearby, and I hope that it is true. I want to make some use of that increased bomb and gun damage, people want to use their good looks to stroll new environments as their made-up character... it is just that. Thanks for the chill pill. XD

I love the gun normal damage and charge boosts, and the shiny blaster charge (EVEN THOUGH IT TENDS TO ONLY HIT THE FRONT ENEMY IN A CROWD ¬_¬).

I played through one of the arena missions and thought it was shiny. I thought it was a funny touch that you can actually get the turrets to shoot at enemies.

I played through one of the Wolver Den levels and it RAINED. WHAT.

I haven't played through the new character levels, but from what I hear, they're really interesting. This can only mean better things when they move up to t2 and t3 content.

This. The holier than thou attitudes on boths sides are also pathetic, people have every right to complain about their disastisfaction without being self-entitled or 'haters' and people who like the game should be able to do so without being branded fanboys or corperate apologists. The people whom are unable to understand the other side of the argument and would rather spew vitrol at them are the real problem with this community, regardless of which side of the debate they're on.

Just think of it this way - new content for new players gets more new players hooked easily. If you look at achievement stats on Steam, a HUGE portion of players gave up before even getting to Haven. Changing this new player experience might get more people playing, more CE purchases which is good for F2P players AND good for Three Rings - the more money they make, the more they can expand. People can be hired, more later content can be unveiled. ;) (Plus I'm pretty sure I saw an admin post recently that they constantly have a bunch of projects going on in all areas of the game, so who knows what's coming soon?)

It does kind of suck that they have to think about money as much as they do, but these things don't come cheap on their end. Paychecks are rather important! I am fine with putting off T3 content a bit longer for the sake of keeping Three Rings alive. And fed.

The paycheck thing I especially understand lately. ~_~ I'm an illustrator who hasn't had time to .. illustrate. Because of work and other things. I need food before I can do the fun stuff.

+1 to OP. while this game

+1 to OP. while this game hasn't been developed as I had hoped, it's still a blast and free to play. All the negativity in these forums do is alienate new players and give the SK community a bad name. Objectively based criticism is not at all a bad thing, but it's gotten to the point where all some people do is second guess everything OOO does and pour on the hate, while continuing to play. So many proud trolls in this forum, that's really something to be proud of...

+1 to OP. Game isn't perfect, but it's good enough. Probably the best MMORPG things that I've played. I suppose if it was perfect then everything would be ridiculous and no one would play.

Good to know that I'm not the only one who still sees OOO in a positive light. I was about to give up on these forums because of how readily people attacked OOO for a few small aspects of a large patch... aspects that don't really do enough to warrant the hate.

Seriously? It takes maybe 5 minutes to make a new character, and maybe 15 mist to do all the new Rescue Camp missions...

They didn't do anything greedy this time, and it was a good if not simply amazing patch over all. But people are still hating, and I still predicted this thread's appearance. Interesting.... they also seemed to fix the RJP payout rate.

And yes, I do love Ian's artwork and most of the weapons/content in the game. Even if I seem like I don't.

Casual vs. End Game Content?

I read a lot of complaint threads about content. I read a lot of F2P vs. P2P threads as well.

I consider Spiral Knights to be a "casual mmo", therefore, I'm seldom disappointed with any new stuff they throw my way. I pay for the stuff I like - oh, and swear by elevator passes. So far, I've really enjoyed this past year.

At the other extreme, it seems others are racing for the end game content, opening the core, making billions of crowns etc. - but what happens after that? I just wonder if the people who are complaining the most, shouldn't actually be playing another game anyway...

...Unless of course, OOO is trying to appeal to both...

Yeah, Spiral Knights is actually super friendly to people who just play casually/have work. 2-3 days of grinding Vanaduke is about an hour and a half of minimum wage work worth of CE (lol, I was there, I know it.) On top of this, mist energy was perfect back when I had homework like every day lol.

Get with some friends and just say "hey, let's play at 7" and all use mist together lol.

Yes, I agree, SK is a great casual fun way to spend some time for free! That is why i dont understand why people can rip into OOO for putting out updates when these "players" dont even have to pay to play this game!!
