Spikes of low connectivity?

Every so often, and I mean quite often, the game just drops my connectivity down for no apparent reason. I've opened all the ports that are needed, which did help somewhat. But I still get large amounts of zero to no connectivity. And I know I'm not the only one that has this problem.

It basically makes the game unplayable, as my character walks into spikes, which aren't even shown on my screen, or enemies attack me, and I cannot fight them, or even see them. And it jumps me around, because apparently the server can't receive my movement properly. It's a tad annoying to end up wasting energy because I literally cannot play the game due to lag.

I also have this problem,
I was wondering if Port Forwarding would help, but
it seems like you tried that already . . .

It was after a recent update that the problem keeps
happening as well.

Wow, it just happened really

Wow, it just happened really bad to me. The worst part is, I could see people moving around normally, and even chat normally. And it told me I had a good connection in the top right corner, after awhile.

I'm guessing it got some horrible backlog of movement commands. But even when it said I had a bad connection, I was SEEING people moving around normally.

EDIT: Oh, and this has cost me energy several times, due to just giving up and leaving the level I was on, just because it was so unplayable.

Connection issues

It's not just you, and it's odd, since it's only when partied with random people... or in specific random dungeons... Sometimes it's working fine, sometimes I get dc'd every 5 seconds, and it's never when running solo. that and haven 9 haven 9 is real bad for me. I can't go there, get dc'd frequently.

Not much information to go on but this looks like the server isn't receiving your location information properly so it's most likely an issue with your upload bandwidth being saturated or missing packets. You see chat and everyone moving around normally because that requires download bandwidth, which people usually have higher bandwidth in.

I had a previous thread posted in suggestions about how this game has unusually high upload usage compared to other games so I wouldn't be surprised if this is the issue.

Also note that some ISPs do throttle upload speeds in regards to their customers (to try and deter file-sharing).
