If you are a seller you will also be looking for products to buy from other sellers to flip for profit, If you are a buyer, you are also going to be looking at all the other sellers offers. You can't do this EFFECTIVELY while switching between UNNECESSARY AND CUMBERSOME windows or tabs.

I do not like the whole merged trade chat HOWEVER I am VERY VERY VERY against splitting Buying and Selling into their own separate tabs.

Please stop making your own

Please stop making your own threads for this- try contributing to the existing topics. And remember that your voice is one among many, no matter how many times you bump or quote yourself for emphasis.

(Remember that reputation is important. Based on how you conduct yourself here, I would NOT want to do business with you in game)

There is nothing in a split channel system that would prevent you from subscribing to both channels if you want to. It would give more control to those who want it, and in the absence of separate chat tabs, it would not penalize those who wanted more advanced functionality.

You wouldn't be able to see

You wouldn't be able to see both buyers and sellers AT ONCE like we can now given the current chat. Also, for all you know you have probably done business with me and not even known it.

I like buyers and sellers together in the same chat, it's very effective.

I will make as many threads as I deem necessary whether you like it or not, because I have the ability to do so.

Also this was a completely different topic then OMG THE TRADE CHAT IS THE SUCKSORZ NOW.

This is a thread specifically to NOT spilt the buyers and sellers.

With the current system you

With the current system you have local chat, and trade chat channels... both turned on by default. Currently the trade channel is channel 2. /join 2 turns on trade chat channel. /leave 2 turns off the trade chat channel. Splitting it into buying and selling wouldn't really do anything other then turn channel 2 into the sell channel, and create channel 3 as a buy channel (could be reversed, I just gave them a number). And (hopefully) would automatically move WTS and WTB to their appropriate channels.

You already see the local chat channel, trade chat channel, and guild chat channel if you're in a guild all at once. There is no reason you could not see both the buy and sell channels at the same time with the current set up, they'd just (THANKFULLY) be different colors.

Ok so then we still have all

Ok so then we still have all the channels going at once. Just give it it's own public number is just fine. Having to sift through windows or tabs within the chat is completely out of the question.

NO sense having a global trade if you are just going to bust it up into tabs or windows.

This did not need a new

This did not need a new thread. Your old one was sufficient.

I would like Buyers and Sellers separated as two channels, then I could turn off the seller channel and just use the buyer channel. When I want to buy, or to find customers looking for whatever.

Anyone using the buyer channel to sell will be aggressively moderated and/or ignored. The seller channel should exist only for players making exceptional offers, such as UVs or extremely low-priced items. Otherwise there's no point - I know somebody has iron gears, there's no point in you spamming it in a chat channel for hours to remind me. Once people learn that their "I have all items!" sales pitches are cliche and uninformative, the chat won't be so bad.

The creation of an auction house-like system will likely render this whole discussion.

Yes to separating the trade channel into "Buy" and "Sell".

What's if

What's if rather than separating buying and selling, there was a trade chat for 1-3 star good, and a trade chat for 4-5 star goods?
It wouldn't be perfect due to high end goods still requiring low end mats....

but as is it seems a bit inefficient when "my" tradechat is being flooded with Granfaust WTS 1900 CE, and WTB super owlite shield recipe---and meanwhile i'm trying to sell a wolver cap 2000 crowns or 50 CE and iron gear.

and it must be similarly annoying to someone trying to make 52 thousand crowns on an exchange to have his offers being bumped by my attempt to rake in 300 crowns.
