Help! Im new here and I don't understand why I have to download spiral knights EVERYTIME I want to play it.... is this really normal? or is it a bug or something? or is it just patching? is there a patch today?
I really hate waiting an hour everytime I wanna play a game :/

Im sorry if I placed this post in a wrong section.
I downloaded the game and its a shortcut but whenever I try to play it always downloads the game again.
1. Which OS do you use?
2. Does anyone else use your computer?
3. Does the game actually open after the screen?
No, this is not normal, unless it is an absolute patch-fest (it isn't, so I think it is actually downloading the client every time). Well done, by the way, on putting your first post here, although I don't know - you might want to put it in Technical Issues, but leave a shadow copy here as well.

There's a guide here on the same page... 4th down when I post this. You'll find out quickly that a lot of people don't like it when questions are asked that can be easily answered by taking a little time to look. We'll usually go easy on you here, but I'd practice it if I were you before asking things like that in General Discussion.
Microguns, I believe this is what Raisinfist meant:
Did it open a small window that said, "Patching/Downloading/whatever it says" and it shows a picture of a planet?
Or does it open the actual client itself (game) and just takes a long time to load?
Several more questions to clarify:
1) What ping do you have?
2) How much free RAM space do you have?

Click on the link to 'Forum Preferences' in the top-left, next to the search bar. I think it's there, anyway.
Did you try shortcuts on your Desktop/Menu? Or try to use Steam, which will auto-launch the browser for you?
I know its not normal to have to download it all the time, unless theres major patches and updates.
