Hitting Gremlins with Sentenza is easy now that they can't chain-dodge. The bigger issue is dealing with multiple T3 menders, as it can't burst them down before they shield, and swarming enemies will make getting clean shots on them difficult.

it really doesnt make much difference which gun you use. I personally like the 6clip antigua guns better than the 2clip alchemer guns, although I only use my biohazard when it comes to shadow guns. It all depends on your personal preference.
Things that you try to hit with shadow gun (jelly, gremlins, beasts, maybe constructs) tend to dodge sometimes. having sentenza lets you hit things more easily, and allows you to pick off menders more efficiently.
umbra driver is really more of a mob control gun, as you can clear tight packs of monsters very quickly due to splitting bullets. The charge attack can also 1 hit KO single targets if you aim correctly so that multiple ricochet hits that monster (aim a bit to the side of that monster).
The thing with umbra driver is (all drivers actually), sometimes it hits things you dont want to hit. example of that would be a room full of explosive blocks (danger rooms, clockwork tunnels, etc) or mass puppy spawn in an arena. When you fire, a ricochet may hit more than 1 target, resulting in chaos/death. Single target guns (Sentenza) dont have this this problem.
If you already got a blackhawk, keep it and upgrade it to Sentenza. Its just as good as Umbra Driver.

Biohazard: Slow bullets, charge shot-"sticks" to enemies, normal shot detonates> detonation is very powerful now, charge is sometimes useless due to other party members killing the monster before you detonate it, poison + shadow make it ideal for Jelly King.
Sentenza: Fast bullets, six shot clip, very good single target DPS, good mobility. Charge is considered somewhat useless as it leaves you immobile for a long time. Gremlin damage bonus is good, but gremlins tend to (try to) dodge bullets.
Umbra Driver: Fast bullets (slower than sentenza, but not too much slower). Ricochet can cause good damage to a single target, charge attack is very powerful, great for mobs (shoot into the crowd, the ricochet will wreak havoc)
If you want a main shadow gun, I don't suggest Biohaz. as your first choice since it is slow and party goers can hinder its effectiveness. Between the sentenza and the umbra, it's up to you. Both are very good, I guess it just depends on your preference of 1 monster vs a group of them. For LD I believe most pure gunners use Umbra just because the Sentenza's individual bullets are weaker (and will take longer to kill other people)
