im my opnion the triglav shouldnt freeze enemies with the secont hit in a combo it would be much better if the status could only be dealt by the charge attack and im sure everyone knows why
Triglav
The second hit does not always stagger the enemies into submission, letting them attack you instead of being frozen safely.
This means that you can only use the second hit 100% when you're out of range. This wouldn't be too bad, if it actually froze them 100% of the time. Instead, it freezes about 1/50 of the time, and thus wastes the potential in the 2nd hit. Thus, you have two options- use it like you normally would and risk getting zapped in the face randomly, or use it like it should be used, but deal less damage over time as a result of trying to hit enemies in positions that they would become frozen in. Take for example a sword like the Gran Faust- its curse isn't a problem, because it still deals knockback. Same goes for Sudaruska's stun on its charge.
The charge isn't as bad because it freezes more often- this makes it able to pull a glacius, and repeatedly smash them to death. Whilst it can still cause enemies to get stuck, the charge isn't used as frequently (as you have to charge it, even if you're doing all charges you'll still be doing less to kill them than if you were banging away normally), and so it is easier to find the one situation where you can trap enemies with freeze.
The Suda's Combo only needs a bit of tweaking to fix it... just fix stun... the Trig on the other handneeds a bit more... it needs interruption on the 2nd hit almost All the time in a 4 man group... No, not damage, just Interruption...
As it stands, the safest way to use the 2nd swing is to Charge-Dash back a short bit, so that when you release it it just barely touches the target.
That, or Move to the Side with the Charge dash so they're attacks don't hit you.

They should remove the freeze on basic attacks or make it occur WAY more often. Whichever road they choose, the damage needs to be upped by like 50%. It's slower than DA&GF and hits for like 30% less than them against all targets
only problem i can see in triglav 2nd hit is freezing a giant lichen colony while trying to knockback it so its thorn roots wont hit you.....
and even then , its not always.... i like the freeze effect on 2nd hit, its like finding an unsuspecting person to kidnap... wont happen all the time, but when it does it makes you happy.
and yes, troikas nees a dmg balance with gf/da, at least vs neutral.
i have the feeling that i killed this thread quite horribly
Naw, its more that this has been talked about. In fact, almost every possible issue has been talked about, several times...
The freeze actually isn't usually a problem because if you're experienced with the Troika line (moreso than the Sealed Sword lines), you usually save the second slash to interrupt (attack them during their windup) or divert your targets (if the attack is not something you can interrupt, you hold your first attack and sidestep to hit your second slash diagonally) .
This means two things tend to happen:
- You interrupt the enemy and the enemy gets frozen in place. You are then free to run elsewhere, attack other enemies, etc.
- You freeze an enemy that would have hit you, and it's stuck a little out of range.
