In addition to an auction house - Crafters unite!

Alright, so we're getting a sort of auction house in the future. A place to put up items you made/found, and set a price for it or start an actual auction on it. This doesn't help out the people that spend most their time crafting things for others. They will keep having to spam up chats, and I do not think that's ever a good idea.

What I am suggesting is a this; alongside a future auction house there could be a 'sign' which allows people to see which crafters can craft the thing they need, and if they are available. This should not be a comment board, as that would just be filled with spam, but more of a little interactive database.

Let's say we start with a full item list.
Once you click the item you need you receive the basic stat image, and below that a list of Crafter names with their status and rates to finish things off.[See EDIT 1] Add a button which allows you to easily /tell the crafter, and we have ourselves a system.

Obviously, there should be a way to add yourself to these crafter lists manually. Automatic adding would just make it impossible to find someone who is actually willing to craft things.

This would regulate the 'crafter market' and make it easier for both sides. On top of that it would add a little wiki-like item list, which is always useful. Obviously, it would be placed in the Bazaar.

So, what is your stance on this matter? See something that's still missing? See something that wouldn't work out?

[EDIT 1] -Thanks to Leviathan;
There should be at least two fill-in blanks, and a little dot.
Those blanks would be "Price with own materials and energy" and "price if I provide materials and energy"; either could be left blank, of course, used to put in numbers, or custom-written as "tips" or "love and compliments" or "your firstborn child", or whatever.
The little dot would be green if that person is online... and red if they aren't.

Missing: There should be at

Missing:

...

On the whole, I don't think it's a necessity, but the big huge necessity (Auction House) is already coming, so hey, it's all gravy from there, as far as I see it. And this would be tasty gravy.

crafters are just the result

crafters are just the result of an inefficient market, and scam happens as crafting service is not protected by the game. basically, crafters will be obsolete once auction house is released. so this is all quite unnecessary

No, you're wrong adrian783. How is it inefficient to have someone craft something for you? It saves the buyer a lot of time. The fact recipes are hard to obtain means there will be demand for them. Having a certain amount of people focus on obtaining a high amount of recipes will always be a viable market strategy.

Scamming is covered in the Terms of Use, and a bannable offense. Having a crafter board will make it even easier to filter out the scammers from the honest traders. If you've ever dealt with me before you'll know that trust is something crafters need to earn. I can name most honest crafters, but for the general player that information is hard to obtain without this addition.

An auction house would deal with ready-made items. If you want to craft something with ingredients, or just by personal request, a crafter market is a really nice addition. The auction house will not make crafting obsolete because most crafters won't craft items in the hope they sell in the auctions, most of them will keep crafting only on request.

I think crafters will

I think crafters will eventually die off as more people learn where to get X and Y recipe. It's only a matter of time. Then considering that you're in a free-to-play MMO, I believe there's a lot more people willling to grind or wait to get a recipe.

Waiting and grinding is free, paying crafters isn't. I know what I would choose.

I would agree with this if crafting was skill based, like in WoW. In this case, players do have incentive to recruit crafters as getting that skill high enough is extremely time consuming.
