Actually Sprites don't live
Actually Sprites don't live in FSC.
They've been only summoned to the FSC to extinguish the unnatural fire that is consuming it.

OR maybe the Sprites don't live in the FSC, maybe they came to put out the everlasting flames (just like the dialogue,that many people skip says). The Mother Spirit and the sprites though could be beings that live in the Sanctuary. Their mortal enemy could be the Swarm
